Yes, it is illegal. Your odds of getting caught are virtually nil, but you are still breaking the law. A week ago a girl's parents had to pay over 3,000 and also had to pay lawyer fees for her stupidity. Just cuz you can do something doesn't mean you should do something. And alot of programs are "honeypots" or "spiderwebs". Be careful

Seems clear to me, If you know it to be copywrighten material it is illeagle to copy and visa-versa you should not share copywrighten material.
