No. You would have to apply the same logic to the other sins listed with it in 1 Corinthians 6:8-10, that is fornication, idolatry, adultery, theft, coveting, drunkeness, reviling, and extortion. Can you engage in the above and still go to heaven?

Since the word "Christian" means "Christ-like", then the term "Gay Christian" would mean something. They would have to have a new savior--one that is gay. This then would be creating god in their own image--thereby engaging in idolotry.

The Bible says that in Christ, you are a NEW creation. I see wanting to keep their lifestyle with a guarantee of eternal life. But it cannot be reconciled. They are being like Esau, exchanging their birthright for a pot of beans, just because they feel they would die without it.

Matthew 18:8-10
“If your hand or foot causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life lame or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet, to be cast into the everlasting fire. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire.

Jesus is not talking about literally dismembering yourself. You see, in that day, to have no hands , no feet or eyes made you instantly without a means of support. You would need to beg for the rest of your life. So your hands, feet and eyes were all VERY important to you. But Jesus said that if the most important things in your life--the things that are most attached to you emotionally--are keeping you from His Light and eternal life, offer it up as a sacrifice for the sake of the kingdom. Jesus knew what hell was going to be like, and what heaven is like. To risk hell for our temporary situation here on earth is not worth the inevitable consequence.

When the disciples told Jesus what they gave up to follow Him, Jesus replied...

Matthew 19:29
"Everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life."

Jesus was not saying you will receive a hundredfold in heaven, this promise is for NOW. In other words, God will not leave you emotionally empty. But rather, what ever you give to Him as an offering, He will give back x100 now. I can attest to this with my own life, and many other believers as well. You cannot out give God. Trust me on that one.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11,
Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites... will inherit the kingdom of God. And SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

Bree, all souls will go to The Great Throne Judgment and then they will be separated from God, or enter heaven. Get your theology straight.

You better get a good lawyer to argue for you in front of the Judge. My attorney gave His life so that I could get into Heaven. (and besides, His Dad's the Judge)

You are correct in your statement that homosexuality is a choice.

To answer this question Miles: I am assuming that you were born again at some point in your life. If you are WILLFULLY practicing sin, you need to repent. True repentance means to turn from sin. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. Actively seek help from Him. Do not be fooled, God will judge sin and every man must answer.

Well, in the first place, you can't stop being gay just by "changing your ways." I know Christians are hung up on the "choice" idea, but why would anybody make the "choice" to be gay unless he was born with the tendency so to choose? So it's a moot point. The only reason they bring it up is because otherwise, their position is just penny-plain bigotry.

As for heaven, I don't believe in heaven. But for religious people who entertain a heaven-idea, I suppose it boils down to whether they believe that God is obsessed with the sex lives of consenting adults.

And I'll leave it up to you to decide whether "fmminformation" sounds like a belligerent psychopath with severe emotional problems, all the more grotesque because he believes he's speaking as God's mouthpiece.

All souls, no matter what, will go to heaven. That's God's promise to us. My dad and brother are both gay. I love them and wish they weren't. But we all have our agency so it's their choice to act upon those feelings. However, you need to keep in mind that the Lord looks at homosexuality as sin, and the Lord looks upon sin with the least degree of acceptance. So, while the Lord loves all His children he does not love their sins. There are three kingdoms to heaven...the highest being the celestial, the middle is the telestial, and the lowest is terrestrial. The Lord lives in the highest. You simply have to decide how close to the Lord you really want to be then live your life according to that answer. You may be gay, but should not act upon the feeling and remain celibate as to attain God's grace.

Yours in Christ,
Bree M

You have to answer this question for yourself, by studying the Bible and interpereting it for yourself. To take someone's answer and believe it is just taking THEIR interpretation of the Bible and believing it. NO ONE can tell you what you should believe, regarding this subject. No one is more attuned to what the Bible says than the next person. It says in the Bible that salvation "comes from within", not by asking others what they think.

Who am I to say that you WON'T go to heaven if you are gay? The people on here who are saying that you aren't going to heaven are only speaking from THEIR OWN INTERPRETATION of the Bible, not yours. Turn to God, make a relationship with God, and ask for strength from God, and He alone will answer your question in due time.

No you can't. You also can't be a rapist, prostitute, murderer, or thief etc. and not change your way and still go to heaven.

Jesus said "Most assurdely, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit."

When you are truly born of the Spirit of God He takes you into all truths in the Word of God. You have given your life over to God willingly. You have opened your heart to receive God's Word and promised to be obedient and faithful to His will for your life.

God, who through Jesus, made you righteous and holy and acceptable by the new birth. Thus you are a new creature born of Spirit. You will not live in the flesh anymore but of the Spirit. What is a spiritual life in Jesus Christ? Being made whole and complete the way God intended you to be. Therefore, how can you still be fleshly or allow flesh to rule your heart, mind and body now when your spirit should be doing so. You cannot reconcile the two. Sexual immorality is a no no.

God is against all ungodliness, whether it be spiritual or moral, of which sexual promiscuity and homosexuality are most prominent.

We who were once slave of sin are now slaves of God. You have been delivered from your sin. God has promised to cast ALL your sins (not just homosexuality) into the depths of the sea (Micah 7:19), to cast all our sins behind His back (Is. 38:17).

Therefore, there is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death.

Please pray about this if you are serious about your question.

Scripture says:

Revelation 21:8

But cowards who turn back from following me (Jesus) , and those who are unfaithful to me, and the corrupt, and murders, and the immoral, and those conversing with demons and idol worshipers, and all liars, their doom is in the Lake that burns with fire and sulphur.

God is HOLY, Heaven is Holy. No one immoral or dishonest will be permitted in it. Revelaton 21:27

Important............Read the book of Romans. God forgives those who turn from sin and are sincere in their hearts to follow His Holy ways.

God may love the person, but hates the SIN. God Never created a gay relationship. Satan is the deciever. God is Holy!

God's children are those who follow and obey his Word ..........not those that shake their fist at God and rebel against what the Bible says.

No in fact you can't even be straight and attached to mundane sex life and go to the eternal abode. Why? because there is no material sense gratification there. We are not this body; IE race, color, nationality, religion, gender, job, mind, intellect, senses, etc. We are eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known As Krishna, Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc.) As long as we are attached to this body or bodily conception or sense gratification or anything in the material world God fulfills our desires by taking another material birth. if you ask Jesus Christ to forgive your sin and accept him as your personal savuior to go heaven, sure but I must say as holy spirit remind me to tell you that being gay is not pleasing God cause he made a man and woman to mate to have children and that very logical common sense.
