When I first started visiting another site, I needed a username. Every name I thought of was already in use.
Finally, I remembered seeing someone use "kiwikoolade". Tried that, and it was accepted. I later shortened it to kiwi.
I like kiwi. Easy to type, & to spell. And way, way, way nicer than the odd, nasty name my parents stuck me with in real life. (I don't know WHAT they were thinking when they named me!)
It wasn't till people started asking, that I realized that others would assume I come from New Zealand. I don't. US citizen here.

I chose Evermom because mom seems to be the one consistent role of my life. Whether I’m mothering orphaned kittens or baby birds or young adults whose parents treat them like dirt because they’re gay, our homeless guys, I guess I have a maternal instinct that is always running at full speed.

No, I'm am me to me and never refer to myself in the third person. Typically, though, if I lose my car keys I might say something to my wife like; "Hey goofy, where do you put my car keys?" (even if I know it's my fault - and that's the closest I ever come to being a democrat and refusing to accept blame).

"Blue Angel" plays a double meaning for me. First of all it's the name of famous military jets, and i am a military brat and proud of it. Second I am a strong Christian and my heart goes out to people who are in need and in trouble (those who are 'blue') and I try and do everything in my power to help them.
