This is one of the biggest misconceptions of the bible and a blatant attempt by the rewriters of the bible to try and demonise and subjagate women. It clearly says that she gave the fruit to the man she was with, implying that he was standing there with her the whole time. The real question is what would the world be like if Adam had stood up and not permitted Eve to take the fruit in the beginning?

Good question. No way of telling from this point. We can offer this:
Satan was no dummy. He had enough sense to know not to challenge Jehovah on power. He knew he would lose. He could not come out and tell a lie or force either Adam or Eve to disobey. If he had both together, they might reason their way out.
He chose the one he could influence easiest. He asked a question. Is it true....? To plant a seed of doubt in her mind. Then the desire for that fruit. Now the lie. Nothing bad will happen only something good.

Adam was there. Gen 3:6- She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.
This is why both Adam and Eve were punished. God would not have punished Adam so harshly if he were tricked into eating the fruit. It was a knowing, considered act on Adam's part, making him just as guilty as Eve.

Yes. She already turned her back to God. Adam's presence would not have stopped her because Adam had also turned his back too. The serpent goes almost undetected in the human mind, but finally is exposed for what it is.

Unfortunately, I think this story gets used by fundamentalist Christians to blame women for the fall of man. But in reality, it is a metaphor for seeking knowledge. Without knowledge, we could not know the difference between good and evil - and so could not truly choose good.

I'm pretty sure the Serpent waited until Eve WAS alone before he attempted the seduction.

my bible says she offered some to Adam who was with her, it doesn't say that this happened later. My understanding is that God punished Adam for being weak and not stopping Eve, which is what he should have done, as her protecter.

Taking a little stroll without her husband was surely necessary to the final result.
Reminds me of the old Lead Belly song "Good Night Irene">
Last Saturday night I got married, me and my wife settled down. Now me and my wife are parted; gonna take a little stroll down town.

Adam was there, but not on his j.o.b. One of the role of the man is to protect his family and take a stand for God. This Adam did not do.

Adam WAS there, according to the Torah. I don't know what the Qur'an says about it.
