My parents never let me do anything. They get mad if I want 2 go 2 a friends house they won't ever let me sleep over. They won't let me swim. I'm always locked up in my house unless i go 2 school. They won't let me go to school dances the cast party for my drama class. And when I ask 4 a simple reason they won't tell me. They yell instead. Now they took my cell phone my iPod and My computer away. I don't no why because they won't tell me. I cry every day in fact I'm in tears right now. They say i'm too young. I'm 14. How can i have a life when I have to stay home every day? I hate them. They make my life a living a helI and they don't even know it. I don't even tell them about boys because i'm afraid if I get a boyfriend or ilike someone they'll shoot him.

My folks were the same way too I didn't get to go out until I was 16 and the I had to be home early and didn't do sleep overs.. they were very strict..I know how hard it is when you want to have a social life but can't I can only say this jus take baby steps..see if they let you go to something any type of function and be home when they ask give them phone numbers of where you'll be and let them meet who you'll be with slowly but surely you'll gain the trust and then maybe even get to go out more..let me know how it goes... Just be patient things won't be like that forever

I am a mother of 5. My oldest daughter is 13 and I am very fearful of losing her to the world. Children that have parents that don't care get into all kinds of trouble (sex, drugs, drinking, smoking, pregnant, violence). The world has changed so quickly and is so violent and dangerous... they simply want to protect you.
They may be going a bit overboard, but they really do mean well. I know it is hard to understand but it's a good thing. Try to talk to them about planning things that you can do as a family and maybe they will see that you are a responsible young woman and will let go a bit and allow you a little room to experience new things.
It's summer and there are lots of programs to signup for... try to do something that involves everyone.. you will meet new people and your parents will see who you are as a person.
It sounds like they give you everything you need and maybe you did something that went beyond their expectations of you as a responsible young woman. Have you done something to get punished?

After seeing the questions girls your age who get to do the things YOUR parents dont let you do I can understand why.You still have a lot to learn about life and the fact is they have beeen YOUR age you havent been their age.They have experienced your wants and desires when they were your age and the same temptations you are exposed to and will be exposed to if they let you go the places they dont let you go to.Bite your lip and suck it up for 5 more yrs and see where your frirneds who get to do all thoe things you dont get to do end up. If you'll obey your parents for now, youll be thanking them later I garauntee it and if im wrong you can shoot em then.Deal? I dont think your parents would actually shoot your b/f unless you pick some kind of crminal type.

Your parents love and want to protect you. You're pretty lucky. At least YOUR parents give a crap about you. There are alot of people out there including myself who would love to have parents that even gave them a second glance.
SHOW your parents that they can trust you a little bit. And I really doubt your parents would 'shoot' your boyfriend. (You're not old enough to have one, in my opinion.) And HATE is a strong word. If you hate your parents for caring about you then you're NEVER going to like them under any circumstance.

It sounds like you are living my life. Well you shouldn't hate your parents in the Bible it says "honor you parents". If your situation is really bad then you and your parents should probably jion family counciling. Or maybe you ask for to much stuff I don't know, but I hope I helped a little.

So yeah, you're only 14. I know you want to do all these things, but in the long run you'll be thankful they are the way they are. They only care about you. Once you're 18 & they still act that way , I suggest you move out.
