I am an atheist who does not wish to tolerate christianity, and hypocritical chrstians start crying whenever i say that. most christianity in my opinion is a plague that should be quarintined. it promotes -->
-Predjudice: every where i look, the bible teaches racism against people who in no way deserve it. what did gays do to deserve this? not being able to get married is not the only thing, if you look at news reports from the south (mostly) alot of christians inc. the KKK kill gay people, in gods name.
-Arrogance : this whole "we are going to heaven and every one else will burn in hell forever" mentality is the root of this. almost every christian i have debated religion with holds their nose up and is totally snobby and defensive (most).
-Close Mindedness : it goes without saying, you cant even question your beliefs and its a sin. beliefs that have been fed to you since you were a child.

-Fear : gods liitle creation 'hell' is easily the most fearful place (real or not) i have ever heard of. this whole concept of rigerously obeying pointless laws and teachings (you can be taught to be a 'good person' without religion and threats of hell) , including the entire religion/god itself.
-Ignorance : most christians are more inclined to not care about the enviroment considering this planet is just a peice of scrap that god will waste come rapture season anyway. speaking of which, christianity teaches people to be more concerned about the afterlife than this one.
So i am not phased when a christian starts blating about me not being tolerant, the difference between my intolerance and theirs, mine can be justified. "intolerance should be intolerated"
so the question reamins christians, why do you get upset when an atheist is against christianity?
thoughts?

I'm not upset with you :)
I'm upset with the idea that continually rears it's head that Christianity is responsible for lunatics who start organizations like the KKK and pervert what Christianity stands for.
I'm supset with the idea that rears it's ugly head that Prejudice, arrogance, closemindedness and snobbery are somehow exclusive to Christianity....
I'm upset that lovely people like yourself are taken in by these ideas. They (the ideologies) have taken root and only serve to make lives miserable by virtue of paying attention.
If you feel the need to rant - why not instead lobby your government to crack down on groups like the KKK? why not concentrate your efforts to fight ignorance, prejudice and arrogance. Love others, spread love, be love, choose love, show love.
Antagonizing Christians for that which they have no control over only serves to put you in the same category that you claim they are in does it not? I know you are a lovely person. You care - you have genuine concern and you want to make a difference. I'm simply suggeting that another tack might be in order :)
blessings :)

Your thoughts and Ideas are interesting. I can't help but to wonder where they came from? You think the kkk are christians? They Burn Crosses! The Bible doesn't teach racism, Society does that. Homosexuality isn't a RACE as you call it, it's a choice to commit a sin that God is totally against.
As for beliefs that have been fed to me since I was a child, I 'm not sure what on earth you could be referring too. My belief in God came from nowhere else but God himself. Society had nothing to with it. I trust in him and him alone. I am not worried about what "other people" think of me, because in the end only I will have to answer for the sins I commit on this earth.
As for "we are going to heaven and every one else will burn in hell forever" statement, I don't know where you heard that from, but it simply isn't true. Nobody knows where they are going when they leave this world. No Human can Judge another and tell them where they are going, only God can do that.
As for what you will and will not tolerate concerning christianity, that is your choice to make. I will however pray for you, because it is my christian duty to do so.
May God be with you.

I agree with some of what you are saying. I don't think of Christianity as a plague. For some people it makes them feel needed and special. I do wish for tolerance. I really don't care what you believe or don't. It's none of my business. But I also request the same of them. It is none of the Christians business what I believe in or don't. I am a good person and I think that should be what counts.

I dont actually. You are only confirming prophetic scripture by all your mocking and scoffing at us so i guess i should thank you on that.
and may the God you dont think exists but does have mercy on your soul that you might live another day and see his spiritual light of truth.

I dont get upset at atheists or anyone for that matter. When they disrespect God and His people, they are just shaming themselves and showing how immature they are. Instead of trying to debate they would rather bash and criticize our beliefs. If thats what gets the jollies for you go for it. Its no skin off my back. If you have a problem with the laws God created for all of the human race, take it up with Him. He made the rules, not us. We just live by them.
Have a great day !! And God Bless you!!

you think you are openminded but you are judging all Christians by the actions of a few. I hope one day you will break down your stone walls of arrogance and realize that nobody can just be judged quickly. Everybody has multiple facets to them. I pity your shell of intolerance.
btw-I am catholic and I believe in equal rights for LGBT and that Jesus will have mercy on those who dont believe.

We do our best to love others that includes people who dont like us, insult us etc. it's their choice to believe something else, they have free will like everyone else.

Same reason you get upset about Christianity.
Is it really that hard to understand, or are you just looking for a soapbox to stand on?
