What does the projected PAROLE date and the projected RELEASE date mean for someone in prison???

Someone i know in prison has a projected parole date of june 18, 2007 and a projected release date of August 18, 2007... what does that mean does he get out in june or august???

Like everyone else said, their projected release date is when they will be released. They may get out a short time before the release date, but they have until the relese dateto release them. Remember, the governor of the state has to sign off on it, therefore they give a 1 to 2 month window for that release date. If the governor doesn't sign they do not get out. My father is on the pardon and parole board, so I feel very confident in giving you this information.

The projected parole date is when that person will go up for a parole hearing; however if they are NOT granted parole at that time, then their projected release date is the next date. In either case, the person's incarcerated behavior will determine if either or both dates are moved up or back. In either case, this person has a general idea of when things can happen; however there is always a chance that these dates will change.

USUALLY decision date. In Oklahoma it takes 3-6 months after "making parole" for the inmate to be released, and in some cased the governor denies a parolee after the parole board reccommends them.

The projected parole date is when he is eligible for parole (dependent upon good behavior etc.). The release date is when he is scheduled for release - though he could be released later if he acts up.
