This is why I don't follow any religion. Not only could that have happened, it did happen, there are records and instances throughout history where the rules and guidelines of religions have been altered for convenience. Even if any given religion started out as being 100% accurate, and I find that highly unlikely, considering the people who developed it believed the Earth was flat, and the sun orbitted it, etc, it's all been bastardized so much throughout the years that I fail to comprehend how anyone could follow any particular religion, and assume without questioning that it is the pure, undeniable truth. The ignorance that takes is positively staggering.
Added: Wow...sure is a lot of stupid, in here. Most of these answers are the problem I have with so many people, concerning religion. There are trillions of possibilities, a small fraction of which have been proposed throughout our time on the planet. People will choose one on the grounds that they were either raised by it or that it justifies their irrationality, and claim that it must be the truth, and that the trillions of equally plausible possibilities are simply ridiculous. It's called denial, people. Maybe you should wake up and realize you don't know everything. I swear, it never fails to disappoint me, to hear this kind of garbage come out of people's mouths, no matter how frequently it may occur.
By the by, for you self-righteous christian types, as well as anyone who doubts what I said in my first paragraph, one, the concept of hell came from a piece of fiction called Dante's Inferno, which had nothing to do with christianity, and was adopted as a means of threatening people and scaring them into believing. Two, do any of you celebrate Christmas by decorating a christmas tree? Or Easter, by coloring eggs? Yeah, those are two of many pagan practices, from pagan holidays, that were absorbed by your "flawless and perfect" religion, so uh, you might want to stop. I don't think your God would approve. (Though I have to wonder how he allowed it to happen.) Oh, nevermind, I forgot. You can make excuses for it, and claim that it's okay, because it's convenient for you. But nobody else can, that would be a sin.

You've got an awful lot to respond to here, so I hope you'll excuse the length.
The problem with the idea of God creating so any different religions is that it's impossible for all of them to be true. The reason they can't all be true is because they contradict each other. For example, Christians say Jesus is the son of God, and Muslims say God has no son. They can't both be right. If you call yourself a Christian/Muslim, then you're doing a disservice to one or the other.
It is possible that God created people for the purpose of damning them. In Romans 9, Paul writes about how God's purpose in raising up Pharaoh was to demonstrate his power in him. He also says that God has a right to make, out of the same lump of clay, some vessels for destruction to demonstrate his wrath and make his power known to the vessels of mercy prepared for glory. The big question his how people can be morally accountable if they are made that way, and the answer to that question depends on how you understand the nature of volition. I'm providing a link to a series of blog posts arguing that we CAN be morally responsible even if God determines everything that people do.
I don't worship the Bible, and I have yet to meet anybody who does. There are too many ancient manuscripts of the Bible to say that it's been radically altered through the years. If it had been so radically altered, there would be far more textual variants than there actually are in the manuscript evidence.
It is possible that the Bible wasn't actually inspired by God, if that's what you mean. But you should concern yourself more with what is actual than what is possible. After all, lots of things are possible that are not reasonable to believe. It's possible that there's no external world, and we're all just minds being deceived. It's possible that we were created five seconds ago complete with memories of a past that never actually happened. But just because it's possible doesn't mean it's reasonable to believe. So what you need to do instead of questioning whether it's merely POSSIBLE that the Bible is or is not inspired by God, try to find out if there are any good reasons to think it is or isn't.

I'll give you the best answer that I can.
First of all, if you think about it, the philosophy that "everyone has their own truth" makes no sense. The statement would mean something like "there is no definate truth." The statement itself claims to know the truth by saying that there is no truth. Not everyone can be right. I can think that if I jump off the top of a building, I will fly, but will that happen? I would tend to say no.
Also, scientists have yet to find the "gay gene." I have a friend who is gay. I believe homosexuality is wrong, but I hate the sin, not the sinner. According to the information we have now, homosexuality is formed from a combination of experiences. Perhaps you had a close realtionship with one of your parents and you feel like you cannot trust the opposite sex. Abuse and pornography are also common ways of shaping homosexuals. I do not believe homosexuality will automatically send you to hell. According to the Bible, there is no sin that God cannot forgive except for blasphemy. And he would forgive blasphemy but the if a person commits blasphemy, he would be so far from God that he would never want forgiveness.
However, just because God can forgive a sin, it does not mean that he will not punish it. Homosexuals have shorter lifespans that most people because of contracted diseases such as aids.
You are not born with homosexuality. It is just another human sin. If a person is suffering with this, they need to pray and to read the Bible and find some close Christian mentors. Once the cycle of homosexuality is started, it is hard to break, but is IS possible. There are many good Christian foundations with thousands of success stories in this area.
I hope this helped.. I am not too good at explaining things.

God did not create more than one religion. In fact Hinduism was created by the Aryans; and then a man by the name of Siddhartha Gautama wanted to change Hinduism so while meditating he all of a sudden felt enlightened about life and took the name Buddha which means "enlightened one." so then we get Buddhism. And The Muslim religion was created by Muhammad. So God only created Christianity through his son Jesus Christ. And gays and lesbians are not born that way they make that decision themselves. And yes gays and lesbians have a chance; I have a friend who has had an experience with a gay and a lesbian; she led them to Christianity and they made the decision to go strait and they are now married the man to a woman and the woman to a man just how God intended and have kids of their own and are happy. The Koran and kabalah are false teachings; only the Bible contains the truth and should not be rewritten. So no I don't ponder these things because I know them.

God the Father made a covenant with jews.
God the Son made a covenant with christians and built only one church,a church with saint peter as the rack.
The rest is just mumbo jumbo.
As for gays God didnt make gays, people made gays, gaydom is a result of a complex, its a social thing.
How can a man living in a mountain who has never once had contact with mars bars know what a mars bar is?he cant.
How can someone who claims to be born gay know he is gay if he never had contact with any notion of sexual matter,How can a gay claim to know he was sexualy different at an early age when he didnt know what sex was?gays are such big liars.
.
.if you want to be a christian/muslim be a christian/muslim,i dont believe its right to throw the good out with the bad.The right at the end of the day will outlast the bad.

You are not only rambling you are incoherent. God did not make homosexuals, He made Man and Woman, Period!
Homosexuals are not "born that way", there is no "homosexual gene." Homosexuality is a lifestyle choice.
The Bible has not been "rewritten" to suit someones personal likes or dislikes.
But the real kicker is the statement, " i consider myself a christian/ muslim..." Now that has to be the Granddaddy of all oxymoron's!
Perhaps instead of "pondering" you should do a little studying. Then you can ask your own questions instead of C&P together something you read here.

You must be just one. You cannot be both gay/straight/bi or whatever it is, muslim/christian or whatever. You must choose one from your volition. God made humans just straight. No one is born with gay/les kind person. It is the world that the person sees and then the person changes. Must repent. Gay is sin. It is not right for some couples to have same-sex spouse. The Holy Bible is same as it was before. Nothing is different except thy, thee stuff, language translation, and for better understanding versions. People who copied Holy Bible were so afraid that they would may make mistakes. Book of Revelation 22:18-19 says (18)"Here is my warning for everyone who hears the prophecies in this book: If you add anything to them, God will make you suffer all the terrible troubles written in this book. (19)If you take anything away from these prophecies, God will not let you have part in the life-giving tree and in the holy city described in this book."
For gay people: it is best for them to repent.

Wow, we have a lot of questions here.
1. It is not hard to believe that God could allow more than one religion to reach different people. Actually----whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. There are bits of truth in many religions, but not all are 'equal'.
2. I would dare say that all Christians DO believe that gay people are 'equal' to straight people. All people are made in the image and likeness of God.
3. Some Christians do belive gay people are 'born gay'. The reality is that born gay or straight---ALL humans are called to a life of chastity. There are no exceptions.
4. God does not destine anyone to hell. We all go there by our own choosing. People who choose to engage in a LIFESTYLE that is opposed to the laws of God---are choosing not to be in relationship with him. It is not about BEING gay----it is about ACTION that is immoral. There is no doubt that there will be plenty of gay people in heaven....and there will be plenty of straight people in hell.
5. No one worships the Bible.....we believe it is the Word of God---an inspired text. And yes, it was written in a certian time period during certian socio-economic times by human beings---this makes it no less the Word of God.

"is it so hard to believe that maybe god created more than one religion to reach diffrent ppl in the world"
Just from a logic standpoint, that doesnt make sense cuase all the different religions contridict each other.
"maybe god created gay ppl equal to straight ppl"
God would of made us all male or all female.
"and that maybe gay ppl were born gay"
Everything we do or dont do is a choice.
"rewritten to meet the standards or needs of a certain society"
Doesnt make sense, cuase if it was only the people word, then I doubt they would have put those last few verses in that say to not change or modify the Bible.
"i consider myself a christian/ muslim "
"No man can serve two masters, else He will love the one and hate the other,or hate the one and love the other.

A messianic Jew is a Jew that believes that Jesus is the Messiah. Christians and Messianic Jews believe that Jesus is the Messiah. They are Jews. The point of view of the anti Messianice Jews is best summed up by Mark JPAS when he said "it is acceptable to blend some degree of foreign spiritual elements with Judaism. The one exception is Christianity, which is perceived to be incompatible with any form of Jewishness. This is the double standard that is applied to Christianity even though Jesus is considered the Jewish Messiah in Christianity. Messianic Jews are looked at with even greater disdain. Why? its a cover for there own deviations from Judaism. Some Jews need to maintain a connection to Jewish family because they have deviated so much from traditional Judaism that many Orthodox question their Jewishness. They need find some way to distract attention because of there deviation from the Torah. This is done by pointing their finger at others to direct attention away from their own actions. You can't give yourself a title and expect that it makes you something. This is the argument that has been used against Jews that decide that Jesus is the Messiah. We are told that the mere belief of a different nature of God immediately invalidated a Jews Jewishness. At the same time Jews that become atheists, pantheists or stop practicing any element of their religion we are told are still Jews. They say that you can believe in anything but Jesus. Jews call conversion "joining the tribe". Things that would never fly in Orthodox or for that matter Messianic Judaism can be found in the Reform and Reconstructionist movements. A good example of this is a previous question asked here. The person asking worshiped the God Ferris but did not believe in him or the Jewish God. The focus of the question was" ...would you PERSONALLY feel comfortable welcoming me not just as a fellow congregant at your Synagogue, but as a member of the Tribe?" (so he was clearly asking about converting to Judaism). The response was "Reform Judaism covers a wide swath of beliefs and practices and I am sure you will be wholly accepted. ... I personally would accept you whole heartily as a fellow Jew." So some Jews will accept all kinds of deviations from the Torah but not belief in "Jesus". Let's not forget the Reform movement wanted to change the sabbath to Sunday to be more like Christianity. Most Messianic Jews are Torah observant yet you can become an atheist, stop practicing their faith, become a Buddhist, join a Unitarian Church and still be a Jew in the eyes of Reform/Reconstructionist Jews. Most Orthodox when asked about other Jews will say they don't know what non Orthodox Jews are. The same applies to the other sects. Speaking of sects Jews will tell you there are no sects but its not true. Rabbinical Jews follow an understanding of their faith that was established 1,900 years ago. They have their own canon of Scripture. There are also non Rabbinical Jews such as the Ethiopian Jews that follows the pattern of the Christian Old Testament and they have many additional books that they consider to be scripture. A group called the Karaites is the opposite of the Ethiopian and only believe in the 5 Books of Moses. Rabbinical Jews call Karaites "a sect of Judaism". You can goggle it and see for yourself. Don't let anyone tell you that there are no sects in Judaism. They say the the teachings of Jesus are very different from Judaism. They also claim that Jesus taught nothing new from the rabbis before him. Then they we tell you that there were no rabbis until a hundred years after the time of Jesus. Its all about winning the argument to them not about what's true. The problem is not differences but similarities. You should know ALL the writers of the Christian Bible were Jews but one. Much of our Scriptures are shared. The vast majority of early believers in Jesus were Jews. So when you hear the exact opposite you need to keep that in mind. A Jew can believe in Jesus and still be a Jew. Edit: those that make personal accusations should include links or shut up.
