Is it not your saviour who tells you not to judge others lest you be judged? Is it not your saviour who tells you to treat others the way you want to be treated?

So if you judge the hearts of others, accuse them of being "hate-filled" and other insults, and persecute them for what you believe you see in them, are you not inviting this kind of treatment in return?

Are you to be the judges over what is in the hearts of others, or is that the job of your god?

That is two deceptions.......

One is deceived to believes he can weigh the heart of another.....

For one, he has deceived himself and can only see "face value" of another's intention..... Secondly, it is only truth that what is inside a man is between him and God......

If a man believes that he can weigh what is God's as his own knowledge, he is more than twice deceived........

I agree with you--that it is not the job of people to judge other people. Conformity by all would make this world a very boring place.

However, if I feel uncomfortable living in a neighborhood filled with crackheads and gang members, that doesn't mean that I need to like it, approve of it, and not be frightened by it. Some would simply say, "Move," which is difficult to do when on fixed income. It doesn't mean that I shouldn't warn my children, friends and neighbors of the dangers that lie here. If that is 'judging', I'm sorry--but that's the way it's become.

When in New York, I worked for a bar that was frequented by gamblers, cokeheads and alcoholics. The strange thing about this was that nearly all of them not only attended church on Sunday--but many sung in the church's choir...go figure.

Christians may judge other Christians, to make sure that they are living a right life, but it is in a loving way.

There is no reason to judge unbelievers/unsaved. You are acting just like anyone would who did not have the power of the Holy Spirit to help you overcome your sin.

Only God can change that, not us.

No you shouldn't judge others but you should be wise enough to separate yourself from people who are doing things that you find offensive. It's not a matter of judgement as much as intention. God is the only judge but you weren't put here to be taken advantage of by people who don't share your morality or ethics. Would you kill because another did, would you rape or despise others, would you plan hate crimes? God did give you the mind to choose who you associate with and we should all exercise that gift.

No true Christian will judge anyone else if they know what is good for them. I am a follower of Jesus and nothing disheartens me more than to see another, who professes to be a Christian judge and "tear down" some one when we are suppose to love and help our fellow man.

1 Corinthians 6:3 "Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life." Sorry, you haven't read all of the Bible.

Yes God says not to judge what a man wears, eats or any of that superficial stuff;but we are to judge the heart.Yes it also says that we ought to be willing to be an example of what we criticize others of not being.

We Christians don't judge others. If someone does evil things intentionally, then they are evil... If someone is evil to us then they are evil- isn't it pretty obvious?
"So if you judge the hearts of others, accuse them of being "hate-filled" and other insults, and persecute them for what you believe you see in them, are you not inviting this kind of treatment in return?"
Excuse me!!! But they are already being hateful and judging- so we aren't inviting them to judge us. If someone is already hateful you can't ask them to be hateful- they already are!!!

All you have said is true.I prefer to judge myself as I am pretty kind to myself. This is a spiritual thruth to what measure you give is what you will recieve.Love covers a multitude of sin,so when you see a person who falls,we should stop and help them up,not push them down with our judgement.
