Only Mormons that have a Temple Recommend, that is they are in good standings with the church and have answered a series of questions that means they are worthy members of the church, can go to the temple. The sad part is if you have some members of your family, like your parents or your favorite uncle, who happen, for whatever reason, not be in good standings can not go to your wedding. The Mormon who talk about family as being important seems to fail in this respect. When you get married, the people you want most there is your parents regardless of what ever they believe. It kind goes with "Honor your parents" kind of thing. So, as far as I know anyone can go to a Catholic wedding, so I would rather go there.

Catholic, in mormon weddings a lot of times even the majority of the family is excluded from the weddings. Only those who are already married are allowed to come.

If given the choice between these 2, Catholic it is. Mormons are a cult.

Wow. You needless to say don't experience that any remember is so sacred as to no longer to be suggested in public and subjected to ridicule? In my thoughts, you have an extremely vulnerable argument. there have been and nevertheless are passable guides that talk on the topic of the temple and its ceremonies. between the suited, which facilitates human beings approximately to circulate into the temple for the 1st time is online (the two the member and instructor components are sourced decrease than).. by utilising the way, the "binding rituals (weddings)" is spoke of as a sealing. In some jurisdictions, the marriage can not be performed by utilising non secular human beings, however the marriage could be performed by utilising a civil authority. members who're sealed interior the temple evaluate the difficulty to be very inner maximum and sacred, regardless of any protests you or others could have. further: i will understand your difficulty, yet needless to say, you do no longer understand ours. "do no longer forged your pearls till now swine" is an extremely good advice to maintain some issues sacred and the sealing ceremony is a sort of issues. We get much greater ridicule than we want because it is. 2d upload: The connection with the scripture became no longer meant to deduce which you have been a swine, yet given as a reason we carry some issues sacred. As yet another guy or woman pronounced, the ceremonies are documented, or you could connect the church and make your self worth of moving into the temple to determine for your self what happens. The simplicity of the sealing ceremony could marvel you. there is not any prolonged sermon (despite if the sealer can say some issues to the couple earlier to the ceremony). The couple kneels for the time of an ordinary alter from one yet another and joins their genuine arms mutually. the guy is first asked if he's taking the female to be his spouse and then the female is asked (she continually has the final notice in this remember). After the two respond interior the affirmative, they're married and sealed to one yet another continually and eternity. there is not any giving freely of the bride, no processional, no ring ceremony. No pomp and condition, yet extremely ordinary, very stylish, and extremely inner maximum and sacred. There are components of the ceremony and the sealing that I even have not printed and carry sacred, yet it is basically it.

I guess it depends on if you're Mormon or Catholic.

How many catholics are ever invited to a mormon temple wedding?: zero, zilch, nada. Plus, mormon weddings (like their meetings) are duller than any one of Nixon's speeches.

Catholics know how to put on a show, both the mass and the reception.

Plus, mormons are invited, regardless.
