I don't understand why you pick out verses that say atheists are not going to heaven while forgetting that God loves everyone.
if God loves everyone of us, brothers and sisters in the lord, than you christians need to stop harrassing atheists with the fear of hell.
the truth is, only us christians have the fear of going to hell.
than you wonder why atheists hate us so much.
GOD IS LOVE!

Only those on the extreme reglious seat think atheists are evil, fact of the matter is christian extremist are no better than muslim extremist (i.e. wouldn't burning an abortion clinic or killing a doctor that works there be an act of terror?). You're hard pressed these days to find a real christian that doesn't harbor some sort of resentment for, not only atheists, but people that do not follow their brand of faith. Fact of the matter is those that do not execpt God, and under christian beliefs, Christ will have one last chance moments before their death to accept God and Christ.

Many Christians don’t realize that they themselves are evil. They can sin and they know that if they pray, they will be forgiven. Oh, what a pleasure it is to sin over and over again and get away with it. And they say I am evil. Am I evil? Really? Would anyone say it right in my face? And then guess what? I will sue that person for perjury. I am an atheist, but that does not mean I am evil.

Firstly not all Christians would say this and in fact no Christian should call another fellow human being evil, what we do at times may be evil but not the person, some hard line Christians really do go over the top at times.

Atheists aren't necessarily evil, but neither are they going to Heaven without a serious change of heart.

As for who is harassing whom, I suggest you read a few more of the questions and answers posted here. You will find that the majority of questions/answers posted maliciously here are done so by atheists. This is not meant to excuse the Christians who bash atheists, but to show that they are not the worst offenders by any means.

Only Christians have the fear of going to Hell? Um, I'm not afraid of going to Hell. No real Christian is...so what are you getting at there?

properly, i'm no longer probably an atheist. i'm greater of an eclectic pagan. I even have been advised on greater desirable than as quickly as celebration by using a "stable christian" that for the duration of accordance to their Bible i'm evil and that they could desire to *kill* me, because of the fact it says "go through no longer a witch to stay". they suspect I come promptly from the depths of hell and am right here fullyyt to unfold the recognize devil (a being i do no longer think in) i do no longer think of i'm an evil man or woman in any respect. I do each thing in my power to assist others. I volunteer, supply to charity, donate blood etc. and that i take a shower each morning! They in no way sem to attain that a physically powerful ingredient of the human beings they bypass ordinary on the line, the those that are their docs, attorneys, EMT's, police, firemen, instructors..and maximum of greater are different from them. in the event that they knew do you think of they could nonetheless call them evil? needless to say some could and a few does no longer yet its unhappy that even one or 2 could.

God loved Adam and Eve and yet there were still consequences for their actions. Love is not some wishy-washy thing. Love wants the best for the other. Love is challenging and not 'fluffy'.

If you have ever bothered to study the early Church Fathers---or basic Philosophy of Religion---evil---is the absence of Good. It is not a physical quality or state. It is an absence of something in a relationship---it is not a THING in and of itself.

I think they fear the unknown. Anything outside their scope of knowledge is looked on with suspicion. From what I've seen said about atheists, its near impossible for them to get a handle on them, so to speak. I don't hate anyone, we are just misunderstood because we don't have one creedo that all follows, each individual has their own interests and likes/dislikes. We are alike in that we are adverse to being organized into a group. We can stand on our own in different situations, being fully equipped in both truth and knowledge, where christians need to be told what to do. Peace out.

I once heard a quote that I absolutely love, "Evil, I think, is the lack of empathy." It all boils down to the fact that regardless of what we believe, we are individuals, some evil people call themselves Christian, others Buddhist, others Muslim, others Athiest. If we can be any one of these, and try to understand each other, then we can ourselves not be evil.

I for one appreciate your outlook here, and I'm afraid it's the best outcome we could hope for as far as sharing the world goes.

Idealy everyone would have free access to the mainstream sciences and enjoy the sheer clarity, perspective and humility it offers compared to religion, but I suppose we have to be realistic..

im not sure what your question is, are you christian or are you an atheist?? well my opinion is that god loves everybody, even the athiest and you shouldnt HATE athiest, but they arent going to heaven if they dont admit that god is lord, and jesus is the messiah. not just christians have the fear of hell. many other religions believe in such a place like hell. we are all hypocrits and sometimes we get the notion that god wants us to hate people who arent of god, but all he says is do not associate with them unless you are going to witness to them, or show them jesus in ways they cant see.
