A URI is short for upper respiratory infections which is kind of like a head cold for humans. Some signs are runny nose, ocular and nasal discharge, and sneezing. If your cat is experiencing those symptoms, the cat needs to be seen by a veterinarian and start a course of antibiotics.

If you don't know what a URI is, what makes you think the cat has one?

If you do mean Upper Respiratory Infection, this could be cat flu which can be fatal in cats. Cat do not fight off URIs like we do so she needs to go to the vet.

If every you think your pet is ill, the vet is the place to go, not Yahoo Answers.
