I've recently meet a girl and are (were ) friend ! We have been talking for about 2 weeks now ! We were just friends and nothing more! But when a religious subject came out , I've mentioned the fact that I'm atheist , and she started asking me how can I live with myself , that she can't imagine of kind of hell my life is etc! The fact is that since then I've seen her just 2 or 3 times, and is acting weird...like she is ashamed to be seen with me! What should I do or what i did wrong? Thank you!

She's a moron.

Just be glad you dodged that bullet.

People who are that brainwashed tend to have psychological problems.

Find a different girl who shares your beliefs. You did nothing wrong, you were honest. It's something she apparently can't come to terms with. Just move on.

Edit to add: After the clarification that she's not a girlfriend... You should probably just be up front with her and ask her if she can deal with the fact that you're an atheist. If it's too much for her, you should probably just let it go. And don't take it personally. It's her issue.

I don't agree with your "unbelief", however, what I think you should do is just sit her down and explain to her - in a kind and rational way - why you are an atheist. Try not to get defensive if she has questions or disagrees.Then............ have her do the same.

If you can both reach "common ground" great - if not then it wasn't meant to be.

You'd be better off with someone who's not going to judge you, I say dump her.

Tell her that you can't stand people telling you how you feel and how your life is a hell, when its not.

You did nothing wrong. Maintain your beliefs. If you two are meant to be together, you will find a way.

Just dip the wick then scarper..
She's been programmed to be a judgemental religious fruitcake, so don't waste your time..

could be your breath, could be your shoes, could be your religious beliefs or lack of beliefs, who knows. If it is because you talked about being an atheist and she is rejecting that, then don't even pursue it unless you want to convert.

Just dump her. She isn't worth the trouble.

If she wants to have a missionary position, well, I guess you can either do it like she wants, or find another.
