This is just one of a number of reasons I believe the Bible to be the word of God "as far as it is translated correctly."
Joseph Smith actually made the correction to this apparent contradiction in the King James translation, as part of his calling as a modern-day prophet.
JST Acts 9: 7 And they who were journeying with him saw indeed the light, and were afraid; but they heard not the voice of him who spake to him.

voice Greek (phones, genetive case) hearing that may or may not not involve understanding. Apparently in this case, without understanding.
2) Acts 22:9 And they that were with me saw the ligh, and were afraid: but they heard not the voice of him that spake to me. (they heard not)
Again without understanding.
voice Greek (phonen, accusative case) Hearing with understanding.
Comparable situation.....John 12:28 when God spoke from heaven to Jesus, but many in the crowd only discerned it as thunder. There is nothing wrong with the translation, it is your interpretation of the translation. Joe couldn't read Egyptian so who says he could read Greek either, which is what this was origionally written in. So we question God Almighty and go to joe smith for the answer??? Oh so now its ok for him to CHANGE and fix what he thinks God did wrong, that is just unreal. Thats like slapping God in the face. God got it right the first time he didn't need joe to redo it for him. Do you still read the book of abraham since it was incorrectly traslated and says NOTHING never mentions abraham NOT ONE TIME, it is an Egyptian book of the dead. It was translated by scholars who actually KNEW EGYPTIAN! It stayed hidden for years after Emma sold it, and it was found years later (the papyrus) The church had to have outside help to translate it when joe said every president after him would be a prophet, seer, translator and revelator. Why couldn't one of them see it was incorrectly translated??? That is why his translation skills from the bom are questioned.

Only Paul (Saul ) heard the Voice. But everyone else knew something was going on - they heard the Sound and saw the Light and they were speechless! This is found in Acts 9:1 thru 7.

Interesting. Maybe some heard a voice and didn't understand the speech. Maybe there was more than one voice... maybe an angel announcing first? I'd have to look at the Greek to see if I can answer that. And they saw light, but no man in that light.
