You are right, there is more than one way of thinking. But you have to test your beliefs. if what you are taught goes against God or Gods' laws then you might want to consider switching your religion

for example killing
keeping the Sabbath
worshiping something other than God

if your religion goes against anything from God then the religion is corrupted. TEST all things, if its not in the Bible then its not valid

When you were being raised did you get a chance to study the Bible?

Did you know that all of the biblical prophecy that has been fulfilled to date has been 100% accurate?

I was raised in a Baptist church too and guess what? I was never taught the Gospel there. Many from that congregation were there for the social club, not once in my experience there was I encouraged to read and study the Bible out side of a few passages here and there on Sunday.

It wasn't until I was an adult and attended a Bible study that I realized that I needed a Savior.

This is a familiar story. Many who "attend church all their lives" walk away for lack of information.

I would just encourage you to read and study the Bible. Ask Seek Knock. Salvation through Jesus is the only way to eternal life with God. The alternative is eternal separation from God. You have to choose which you want.

"But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and with all your soul." Deuteronomy 4:29

Some questions you might want to ask so as to compare whether a "religion" is really living up to God and Jesus` expectations. Are their teachings based on God's word? Or are they largely from men? (2nd Timothy 3:16, Mark 7:7), Do they make God's NAME known? (Mathew 4:10), Is true faith in Jesus Christ being demonstrated? (John 3:36), Is it largely ritualistic, a formality, or is it a way of life? (Isa 1:15-17, 1st Cor 5:9-13, Eph 5:3-5), Do it's members truly love one another? (John 13:35), Is it truly separate from the world? (John 15:19, James 1:27, 1st John 2:15-17), Are it's members active witnesses concerning God's kingdom? (Mathew 24:14, Mathew 10:7, 11-13, Acts5:42, 20:20) There is only one religion that can answer ALL of these questions with a resounding YES to each question! And they are Jehovah's Witnesses. Wether you agree or not, at least these are some basic questions to ponder when it comes to "which" religion actually lives up to all of these things taught in the Bible. We're all given a conscience, or the light of Christ, that helps us to distinguish right from wrong. As we learn to align our actions with that conscience, we'll be led to more truth. If this is what you mean by believing in your heart, then you're right about the importance of doing this.

While it's all part of God's plan to have competing voices as to what truth is, He doesn't stop communicating the truth to us. If you've ever had questions about the purpose of life and other important issues, take a look at some of the videos at the following web site.

if you're just talking about protestant religions, i'd say find the one that bases its beliefs on the bible and go with that. if you're talking about all religions than i'd choose the one that claimed to be the "way, the truth and the life".

All religions share common beliefs and methology and you can find a very thin book that outlines it all. Thak refuge in that Christ stated "I am" and you may discover that you are too. It is also written he said "Be as I am".

NONE, and any who think they are enough to force there's upon another is more wrong than any other. I am not so arrogant as to think my way is the only right way -that's impossible when every persons situation sets different needs and rules for them. We are called INDIVIDUALS for a reason.

That's the rub, they will ALL say that they are the way and the only way. And to get you to believe they will use circular logic, straw man fallacies and the bible.
