I don't mean to offend any of you, esspecally if you are wiccan. Look, I've looked into your faith, I respect it, if not want to convert it, as such I'm asking a question to better understand the faith for what it is. Sorry if I offended any of you. I'm NOT a close minded christion, I know that our human compassion would stop us from commiting horrible acts, I just want to know if anything in the religon beyound our own selves would play into it.

i know a couple of witches, male and female,..they are a secretive people,..they do their wiccanite enchantments in seclusion, for the most part,..witches are subtle as the serpent in the garden,..witchcraft is practised by people unknowingly,..the wiccanite craft is oozing through society as we speak,..they and the other paganite crafts are not fooling the true communist christian goths,..druids, catholic priests, voodoo doodoo and other spell casters/magick users, drug induced incantations and the pharmaceutical industry are all a part of the craft,..satan does not seek those who do not believe, for they are already lost, but those who believe in the god of abraham, isaac and jacob,..the wiccans believe in what, earth, wind, fire and water and the attributes of the elements,..so they 'worship' these that the god of the bible(kjv) created,..then they accuse christians of being this that and the other thing,..does accusers of the bretheren sound familiar,..and how about the familiar spirit,..the rule of three, where was that taken from,..charmed, what a fantasy for the little ones,..the visual effects, smoke and mirrors are quite entertaining,..there is no wiccanite that can produce even a smidgemont of white or black magick effectively except on those who wish to be indoctrinated,..they are easy targets,..their minds can be manipulated and coerced like the way the government and advertising capitalist propaganda does on the college education camps around the world,..the beast and his prophet now there is something to watch out for,..just letting the light shine in darkness,..

If you commited a horrible deed, would you want it to come back on you times three. Let's look at an example: If you commit murder, do you want to deal with the death of three loved ones by unnatural intent thereafter? The Law of Three is a strong deterent.

However, the more important question would be - do you believe that only Christians have morals?

Dharma is the law of personal inner morality that existed before Christianity, Islam and all the other churches that have rules on what to do and not do.

If we all had to rely on what someone else tells us is moral, we would be in a real mess. The voice of inner knowing, inner truth and inner morality tells us not to lie, steal, abuse or betray others and not to deny these things when we do slip up.

All the rest of the rules and rituals are just community driven and for the purposes of the various churches to maintain authority over their subjects.

sturdy question. Christians do not understand how oppressive and hateful they are to non-Christians. as an occasion, magic isn't a prepare that each and every person the Wiccan faith prepare, you will possibly nicely be Wiccan and not prepare magic, i'm, you additionally can prepare magic devoid of being Wiccan. devil would not exist in the assumption of Wicca, subsequently how could we worship what would not exist. Christians claiming we do are conceited and uneducated. Many Christians don't comprehend what "magic" is besides, to place it purely, that is an analogous factor a prayer. the only distinction is we are lively in prayer instead of passive. we don't beg, nor are predicted to beg issues from God, we assume them as a demonstration of admire, as long as we instruct admire too. We additionally don;t desire somebody to threaten us (like the Christian God's devil and Hell) to do what's sturdy. we've the skill to think of for ourselves to confirm what's sturdy.

The same thing that stops all us atheists from committing horrible deeds as well. FYI, the population of prisons has less than 1% declared atheists, though we are at least 10% of the population.

Knowledge of "good and evil" is not a religious teaching, it is cultural. It is also an evolved trait....read Dawkins' The God Delusion for a good description of the evolution of a moral sense.

I am so sad for all those Christians who don't rape and murder just because they are afraid they will go to hell.

Yeah, it's called a conscience. See, most of us (except for sociopaths) have one, regardless of what your religion is or even if you don't have a religion. There are people who literally worship the christian devil and don't go around committing "horrible deeds", because they have a moral compass called a conscience that prevents them from doing so. In Paganism, the Golden Rule is used to determine morality. Probably more sensibly than in Christianity, because many Pagans believe that not only will they receive harm for doing harm, but that harm will be three times as severe as the harm they caused.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Well I know it is just plain wrong and against social mores to commit that crime against humanity. I don't need an ancient text to tell me what I can pick up living 38 years in society.

I do not believe in hell, heaven or satan or any other demon but I'm not out creating havoc breaking the rules of society. Many of us don't need to be given a constant reminder not to do that.
