You can shower already, but just let the soap & water hit it... don't scrub. You can scrub again once the scabs are gone. Working out is fine as well, just don't do anything that would be abrasive to the new tattoo. Peeling & scabbing usually occurs after a few days. It's only been 4 days - you are totally fine in regards to healing. Each of mine has healed a little differently. One didn't scab much at all - the big one did. No scrubing! I worked out right away but I wore a very, very lose shirt and bathed immediately afterwards. But that's just me. I wouldn't wear anything that would rub against it while working out.
I still keep all my tattoos moisturized - just part of the long term care in my opinion.

That depends on the size of the tattoo. Your artist should tell you how long to wait after the tattoos completly healed (usally, some will take about an hour). You should continue to shower with hot/warm water every day. If you plan on hot tubbing, you should immediatly shower because you will expose your tattoo to bacteria. Tattoos like to "breathe"; in other words, this makes it heal faster & easier.

I don't think that's normal. I have six tats and all of them scabbed up. The shop told me to never peel off the scab but to let it just fall off. But I used some special tattoo goo on mine and they came out fine. You should've healed by now.

No worries, you cant sweat it out or anything. Just make sure that when it scabs up you keep lots of lotion on it. Does the Jergens aloe have a scent?

You should ask the person who gave you the tattoo.

As soon as it's completely healed. No more scabs.
