Relationships require work, patience and care. It's like a plant that has to be watered and nutured. It should also flow and not be TOO much work. Two people should care and respect each other enough to try to please and comfort each other without creating stress. You should also understand each other's individualality and realize that that person is not who you want them to be but their own person and accept that. Women: don't pick a guy and try to change him, it isn't happening. If the relationship is strictly one sided then maybe it's more than it's worth.

It takes work. Anything worth having does not come easy. You never heard of anyone winning an award and saying, "damn, this is child's play, everyone should have one of these."

At the point where it becomes more work than it's worth is the point at which the other person doesn't try, doesn't care. That's the hardest part.

Life can't be just what we make of it, because life depends on our interactions with other people.

This is a loaded question. A good relationship will definitely have a natural flow, but will also require some level of "work." In my experience, work should include compromising, being affectionate, being understanding and being able to communication affectively. Now, if you're finding yourself having trouble doing those things, then it is possible that you might need to reevaluate the relationship. The key is that you should WANT to do those things....not feel like you have to.

A real relationship should take no effort , it should be so natural and everything falls into place .

The point where a relationship becomes more work than its worth is when i am bored with it , cruel but true for me .

Relationships take work. But, it has to be a two-way thing. Both parties should want to make things work. It becomes a problem when one person wants to make things work, but the other person does not take it as seriously.

A relationship has its up and downs
and thats why you find a good mate
So when it does have its problems
You two fix it together
It does involve a lot of work, as well as trust
but if you are the only one "Working" to fix and help things
Thats not the kind of work thats right
Relationship does involve work if both of you are working together.

I look at it as a 2 way street. The emotions, warm thoughts, time spent together are enjoyable for both, then it's a natural flow.
When ya hit the speed bumps and pot holes, then it's time for some maintenance.
