If science is the answer to all of our problems than why don't you start a religion based solely on reason and science?
I don't mean you worship science, but that you adhere to the principles of science and reason.
After all, doesn't science and rational thought tell you what to do everyday like Jesus tells me what to do everyday?

It's unfortunate that you think someone who may have died over 2000 years ago is telling what to do. See a doctor.

I'm assuming that the reason you asked this question is becuase you think atheists are too irrational and you think that if we "preach" (pun intended) rational thought then why don't we practice it?
Answer: Atheists already adhere to the principles of science and rational thought. Biology is apart of science, and we are all biological organisms (even atheists), biological organisms are subject to all the biochemical workings in their body. An example of biochemical workings is the brain's action to nuerotransmitters, in which some cause us (human beings) to have emotions and to be emotional. A side effect of emotion is irrationality. So therefore we are all slaves to science whether you like it or not.

You are the one who has isolated themselves from the rest of the world and science - education too by the sound of it as you do not seem capable of understanding what the word atheist means!

You might also consider:

Saying you talk to God or Jesus is describing prayer.
Saying that God or Jesus talks to you is admitting you have schizophrenia!

Nor - sadly do you seem to grasp that God is a loving, tolerant, inclusive and forgiving God!

Boy are you in trouble on the day of judgement!

Good Christians - even moderately bad ones have far better judgement than to post such uneducated, dogmatic and pompous rubbish!!

Get on your knees and pray for forgiveness you self indulgent, egotistical sinner!!!

Try talking to your pastor or a good Christian and stop doing so much damage to Christianity!

There are plenty of religions like that out there already. Some free thinking people realize they need no religion, because they know religion is just a way to control the masses and hoard money.
Many people are capable of living by their own rules of integrity which are far more truthful and realistic, and they don't need others showing them how dumb humanity can be.

Nothing but my integrity tells me what to do, and if you really don't believe in evolution, please explain the stages of evolution a fetus goes through.

Why do people associate science with religion in any fashion what so ever? Science is an observer of reality and only seeks to understand that reality by God given intelligence. If you ignore common sense and obvious factual reality for bad
blind belief, it isn't science condemning you it's your own ignorance

No, we don't worship science. Atheism is not about worship. Why can't you people understand that? Religion is NOT rational. It is NOT logical. To turn Atheism into a religion would be to deny everything that Atheism is.

Atheists don't necessarily need or want a "religion." What you're doing here is assuming that which you find necessary has got to be universally necessary.

When a religeon starts then a specific set of rules starts to be followed and learning and being open minded stops.

Science don't tell anybody what to do.
That is why it cannot be a religion.
Science is based on the investigation of evidence.
Religion is based on unexamined mythology.

There have been a few efforts, but surprisingly enough, many atheists do not see the need for formal religious structures.

Because religion implies centralised control of the masses. Atheists prefer to think for themselves.
