Er, who told you that atheists don't celebrate Christmas? Don't be silly.
Is this one of those things that Fox News is trying to sell to people?

I stopped buying the Christian side of Christmas a long time ago, but I still celebrate the holiday because it's a tradition in my family and we love it. The presents are great and all, but honestly, I just enjoy having that little ritual every year to get everyone together. I do wish it were a little farther away from Thanksgiving though.

a real atheist can nevertheless have fun Christmas. that's in basic terms a wintry climate trip to savor with buddies and family individuals. Christ wasn't easily born in the wintry climate besides. The December date replaced into chosen to assist appease the Pagans who celebrated the wintry climate Solstice. The Christmas tree is unquestionably a representation of the Tree of existence that's yet another Pagan image. you have got an impressive time at Christmas devoid of ever worshiping Jesus.

Isn't buying presents the secular side of Christmas. Christmas has pagan roots, but even after the church changed the name to Christmas and put religious meaning from their religion to it, what does exchanging presents have to do with Jesus. I think this is for Santa Claus, which has nothing to do with your religion.

I do celebrate Christmas. I just don't think in terms of religion any more. I consider it a celebration of love and family. I used to be Christian, so I still call it Christmas out of habit. Plus, the majority of my family is still Christian, and they want me to join them for the holidays.

roflmao.... why do you think Atheists don't celebrate Christmas? They don't celebrate the religious part of Christmas, but they do give each other presents, eat good food, and spend time with the family. To an Atheist, its just time off and a bit of fun.

They spend it on secular holidays, like New Years parties?
Most Christmas traditions are of pagan origin anyway, and that doesn't bother most Christians, so why should it bother atheists?

Atheists celebrate commercial christmas, not christian christmas. If honest about it, a lot of christians will admit that their christmas is mostly commercial too.

Talk sense muppet- atheists celebrate holidays and festivities the same as everyone else does regardless of the fact that due to tradition they happen to coincide with religious festivals.
