Are you referring to the 1989 show "American Gladiators" or the 1995 show "Gladiators?"

In, "American Gladiators" those sticks were part of The Joust competition and called "pugil sticks" which are heavily padded training weapons used by military personnel for bayonet training since the 1930s or 1940s. Similar to a quarterstaff or Japanese bo, the pugil stick may be marked at one end to indicate which portion represents the bayonet proper and which the butt of the rifle.

The 1995 "Gladiators" was just an attempt to bring back the same show, so I'm assuming they are the same type of sticks.

Amwerican Gladiators! WOOOT! A freind and I wanted to have an all drag version of that show, where that could fight in heels and have names like Sequin and Fuschia...

That really has nothing to do with your question, does it... Sorry, I got all excited for a minute, and at least 4 people answered it correctly before I got to it... but, AMERICAN GLADIATORS!! WOOHOO!!

I don't think they had names. The name of the round that they featured in was 'Duel'. A "pugil stick" is use in the military for bayonet training, and is of the same shape and function as those you are referring to.

probably Beth,Chyna & in keeping with probability Mickie James could be waiting to do American Gladiators.same is going for TNA's outstanding Kong & ODB who're solidly equipped. Any of the different eyecandy Divas or Knockouts could get taken out promptly away.
