"Muslim" is a definition of a spiritual condition of "faith and obediance" which is not bound by time or place.

Therefore Moses and his true followers are considered "Muslim" who were obediant to God.

Those who believed in God and followed Prophet Jesus were "Muslim" by definition and can be called other names for identification (Christian etc).

By definition if a Believer in the One God and a follower of the Last Prophet (Prophet Mohammed) is disobediant or rebellious then by definition.........they are not in a state of "Islam" (submission).

Are you in a "spiritual state of submission" or a "spiritual state of rebellion" ?

Impossible.
The god of the Bible has absolutely nothing to do with the god of the quran.
Two distinct personalities, and two totally different messages.
The god of the Quran, is spoken of in the Bible at 2 Corinthians 4:4.

Wow, Rev...seriously read what you wrote and think about it.
Too many people being a 'son'. If everyone is supposed to become a 'son' then what makes Jesus any different than yourself? The truth is that Jesus (peace be upon him) was a mighty prophet and messenger but not the 'son of God' nor part of a god-head composed of 3. He is the messiah and will return to earth again. This is the belief in Islam.

And you are completely wrong. Jesus (peace be upon him) is called the Messiah in Islam and in the Quran. The term in Arabic is 'al-masih' and Jesus (peace be upon him) is called this in the Quran in surah al-ma'idah.

The problem for the christian is

1) We don't believe Mohammed and early caliphs' claims that bible is corrupt
- we evidentially (personally) know that Jesus is who He says He is because we are forgiven and receive eternal life as He promised.
- lousy and dishonest attempts to discredit the bible make me cynical of your 'experts'

2) John's epistle tells you to how to recognise 'antichrists', usually distorters of truth rather than direct liars (a better way of deceiving people); Mohammed is probably the foremost example so far in history in saying Christ was a mere prophet, and not our Saviour. The ultimate antichrist though will be more convincing and will do some fake miracles through maximised occultic powers.

Kedar,
You are certainly confused. Those of Adam's Time were either following GOD or they were NOT. They did not need names. satan did not attempt to form rebel religions until a later time. Moses' people were Israelites also called "Jewish People". I am a Christian. A real Christian would NEVER follow a false prophet as Mohammed and has been led to the True Messiah. Jesus Christ met all of the Messianic Prophesies and was slaughtered by the Romans as a lamb for our sins. HIS Apostles were all mistreated and all but one of them died for the cause of HIS TEACHINGS rather than call HIM a liar. You need to study the truth and learn it before you teach others the way of satan. Have a nice LORD's DAY.
Thanks,
Eds

First of all islam is a pagan religion. it is the worship of the idol allah so to say that followers of Jesus ( GOD ) as muslim is false . islam is a cheap imitation of Judaism and Christianity. islam started around 600ad and has nothing to do with Hebrew and Christian GOD of the BIBLE. And is therefore at odds with the true teachings of the BIBLE. It (islam ) is therefore in a spiritual state of rebellion . The phrase first Saturday then Sunday is used by muslims all the world over which means kills the Jews first then the Christians. islam only offers for those that are not muslim 3 chooses convert, submit ,or die. This is mainstream thinking in islam . so as for me and my house we chose to serve the LORD JESUS CHRIST. islam brings nothing but death and misery , all you have to do is look at the countries where it is taught . CHRISTIANITY brings hope and life to the beleivers

Those who say Allah is the same as the God of the Bible are simple ignorant of both the Scripture and what the Quran teaches.
The Quran says: "God has no Son" and forces its adherents to believe God has no son, thus directly attempting to nullify the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Quran denies also Jesus is the Christ/Messiah.

The Scripture says explicitly: "Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is anti-Christ, that denies the Father and the Son. HE THAT DENIES THE SON, THE SAME HAS NOT THE FATHER". (I John 2:22)

Don't be deceived. The Islamic god is totally different than the God of Jesus Christ.

In fact, Jesus said....your salvation depends on you BECOMING A SON OF GOD.....by being born OF GOD.

"But as many as received him (Jesus), TO THEM he gave the power to become the Sons of God, even to them that believe in his name, which were born.... not of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but were born of God"- (John 1:12)

Sorry to tell you this but there is NO Mohammad in the Holy Word of God. The Old Testament Scriptures were written by JEWISH men of God's choosing. Jesus is God, not a prophet

That's true. All who believe in one God and who submit to the will of God are Muslims, according to the definition of the word Muslim, whether they realize it or not. God is most gracious and most merciful. Allahu 'alim.

"A system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object (god)" New Oxford dictionary's definition of a cult. If we're using definitions so loosely then aren't all religions "Cults."

they were not muslim, muslim came AFTER muhammad. and a lot of muhhamads teachings go against the Bible, and make God out to be a breaker of his own laws and a hypocrit. So NO they were not muslim, in addition Jesus teaches peace while the opposite is taught in the Quran
