Insurance Institute says it is most stolen. Doesn't make sense. Wouldn't a thief steal a 2007 Merecedez.

Why would you steal a car with such a good alarm system? You would not make a good criminal.

Its not for parts. Its for joyriding. That car is so easy to steal a 6 year old could do it. Punks take them to get from point A to point B, then they dump them. You'll get it back in 2 to 3 days. Like I tell all the victims I come across, if you have the club, your car will be left alone.

Most cars are not stolen for people to drive around, they are stolen for the parts.

They can sell the body panels, bumpers, the seats, rims, etc for far more than the car is worth.

There were many of them made and there is demand for parts. They are easy to strip down and part out.

Perhaps the parts are interchangeable with lots of different models making it profitable for "chop shops"?
