Romans 8:28 says:
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,[j] who[k] have been called according to his purpose
I believe that if you are seeking a wife you should seek God's will on this. I believe that if you seek him first, and ask him and are patient and pray it from a position of faith, and most importantly you have to put yourself in a position to receive it I believe it can and will be yours.
Lastly to the poster I want to quote Numbers 6:24-26:
" ' "The LORD bless you
and keep you;
25 the LORD make his face shine upon you
and be gracious to you;
26 the LORD turn his face toward you
and give you peace." '
I pray that you will find what you seek and that you seek God first not only in this but in all things. There is nothing to great or too small for God.

Unfortunately, no.
The idea of "soul mates" created for each other is completely unbiblical, and its popularity in culture is one of the reasons for the high divorce rate. Love is a conscious act, and it requires work and self-sacrifice.

Not to my knowledge, but I believe it. Several things (some tragic) led to me meeting my husband. I think it was meant to be and so does he! We were just discussing this the other night. We've been married 30 yrs.

There is a life to live in the spirit of Christ for all believers; some will marry and some will not.

No, not really. Actually Paul says often that it is better for a man in his ministry to not marry. But if your loins rage, then get married so you do not sin.

"Time and unforeseen occurence befall us all." In that aspect you could say who knows what will happen. You have to keep looking for that special someone.
