Unfortunately, its the other way around, Americans are the

You don't have to be stupid to be misled. People from all over the world, including America, are being suckered into employment under false pretenses, only to find out that the conditions of hire are nothing like what was represented to them. Slaves are by definition property however. If it can be proven that anyone in America is holding human beings as property, the consequences are, and should be dire. Indentured servitude under false pretenses is also illegal, but difficult to prove, especially if you have no funds and no access to legal representation. Perhaps you should have a bit of compassion for these people instead of the scorn your posting seems to represent. Ask yourself what you would do if someone in your own family was subjected to this type of inhumane treatment? Can you imagine a young girl signing up to be a restaurant hostess, only to be packed up in a cargo crate and delivered to a pimp who tells her she has to work as a prostitute until her fees are paid off? Can you imagine a man who pays three thousand dollars to get a chance to work to support his family, only to be held against his will while the coyotes demand another thousand from the family or the man will be left in a crate to die. There is a profound difference between ignorance and stupidity. Ignorance is not knowing that the person you are dealing with is a criminal, and that you are falling for their scam. Stupidity is allowing such illegal activity to continue to exist in one of the richest nations in the world, all so that our richest Americans can continue to have a labor force that undermines the minimum wage. So, who is really stupid?

No they are not slaves, they are not being forced here, nor are they being made to work against their own will. They make the choice to do so.

I don't think it's that bad because an illegal can always refuse work.... Everyone has their pride, eventhough u make him out to be sub-human. Eventually their kids will assimilate into this country and become the majority, and that my friend has people scared.
