Alright. I'm in dire need of answers. I'm 5'4 1/2, and I weigh 134 pounds. And apparently, I'm of average build. I'm am so scared to eat. It takes me 20 minutes to find the least fattening thing I can find to eat, and lately I haven't been eating at all. I'm so scared that I will get fat, and my fast metabolism will slow down. And on the other hand, I'm scared that I will become to thin, and end up on one of the documentaries on Discovery Health. I still think I could drop 15 pounds. I'd like to weight 115, or 120. I can never tell if I'm hungry or full, or whether I should eat or not. Am I paranoid?

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
eat the same amount of calories every day and you wont have to wonder and also your body will get used to it

Your metabolism actually slows down when you don't eat. Just eat healthy foods, in the right amount of portions and exercise. Right now I'm trying the 3-Hour Diet, where you can have 3 meals (400 calories for each one), two snacks (100 calories), and a small treat everyday (50 calories). I've lost 5 pounds so far doing it, and I really think it's a good way to know when you're body actually needs food so you don't over-eat out of boredom or some other reason. Go to http://3hourdiet.com/home/index.php for more info on it if you're interested and if you can, I would suggest reading the book. There's a lot of good information in the book. Good luck!

Just relax........
you're being too paranoid, and this obcession over food could lead to anorexia nervosa. Eat 3 good meals a day w/plenty of protein and calcium. Excercise for about an hour per day and you'll be just fine.

You are worrying a little too much. You might want to talk to someone like a counsellor or psychologist about your worries as it does sound like your beginning to develop an eating disorder. Do not stop eating because that is unhealthy!!
