about the only option is to scrape the ceiling.this very messy.i know you can't paint over popcorn ceiling or it falls.we tried this in my daughter's room, what a mess.

U can either scrape it off or go to ur local big DIY store n u can get some stuff to cover it up with.

It may have asbestos and the paint may have lead. Test a sample.

I heard you have to be careful because there is an asbestos hazard.
