im 13, 4"11 and weigh 123 pounds! i hate it my doctor said my weight is ok but i feel like a whale. i dont like wearing normal bathing suit bottoms because my thighs are huge, so i wear boyshorts. when i wear shorts i feel like people are looking at only how huge i look. everyone says im not that bad but i feel huge. someone please tell me how to make my thighs slimmer and my stomach flatter pleaseee!

my doctor has told my im only going to grow to be 5"1 so its not like im going to slim out much

If your doctor says you are at a proper weight, you probably are. You're only 13... get out and play. That should be enough to keep you in great shape. You seem much too young to worry about counting calories.


If you really feel you HAVE to lose weight the only way to do it is to burn more calories than you eat. Stay away from diet pills!! They don't work and can have harmful side effects. You should be eating about 1200 healthy calories (skip the fast food) every day. Try cardio exercise (jumprope, bike riding, walking, running, etc.) every other day for about 30 mins at a time. This should make a difference.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

Stop counting you re not going to be lose weight overnight Just concentrate on diet and exercise

Baby ur just 13 your body isnt even finished developing yet. You are going to get taller and your body is going to change and be more woman like. I suggest you just eat healthy and be active. Play sports and walk or even jogging will slim your thighs, do sit-up for your tummy just don't over do it. And your weight is ok.

always have vegetables on hand saute a big bag of frozen mixed vegetables in olive oil and garlic add some red pepper or turmeric for additional flavor and separate into portion sized containers for the fridge

think ahead to how youll eat and exercise on the weekends its easy to get too relaxed on saturdays and sundays but healthy living is a 7 day a week endeavor

when out at a restaurant ask the server to hold the bread snack mix or chips and salsa that might come before the meal if you re hungry youll be tempted
