Use shampoo's and conditioners with tea tree extract. The smell is moderately strong, but that's a price u have to be willing to pay to get rid of these lice.
Tea tree has a sort of natural chemical that the lice sort of breath in and then they kind of suffocate. Oh, well! They're pests anyway.
After using the shampoo and conditioners, run a nit comb through your hair and kill all the nits that come out. Also wash your hair everyday. It's supposed to weaken the nits defences against water and stuff.

first off, don't panic! If you have some tea tree shampoo then wash your hair with that and run the nit comb through it, that will help until you can get to the shops.
Then go buy some special nit shampoo or treatment (you can get really effective treatments that you leave in your hair for about 20 minutes then wash out - personally I find this the best) then use the nit comb again.
If you get them periodically then invest in a nit comb that electrocutes the nits (but not you!). They are really convenient as you don't need to even wash your hair and can use them at any time.
Hope this helps and don't worry, nearly everyone gets them at some point!

A friend of mine has a little girl who got head lice at school, so they got tea tree oil and treated it with that every day for a week, it killed the lice and the eggs and they were all combed out. You will need help though. But you won't need to shave it all off!

Go on britney. lol only joking. try vinegar!! 3 tablespoons of the magic stuff in a pint of warm water. pour over hair, the acid dissolves the sticky stuff meaning you can comb out lice and eggs. then wash twice with a good shampoo to remove the smell. hope this helps.

get a louse kit from the chemist and use it then use a fine nit comb, be sure to use loads of conditioner after you shampoo your hair as it makes the hair slippy and the lice cant get a grip on the hair so they will fall out.

oh dont worry, worse things happen at sea. go to the chemist and buy a head lice remover, smother your hair in it as per the instructions and then gently and calmly keep combing until you get shot of them all. Listen, head lice only like clean hair so don't worry. There so easily removed. (I wonder how many people will start scratching their heads when they read this one.. hahahahah). xx
