find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I'm about your height, and lost about the same amount of weight last year.
What I did was cut unhealthy sugars from my diet. I replaced my sodas with a low sugar one (Coke 0), cut out most candies[and cakes! Be careful at birthday parties!], and replaced cookies and chocolate with low/no sugar ones (Murray's makes good sugar free cookies, and Russel Stover makes excellent sugar free chocolates. Though they're a wee bit more expensive than normal). I stopped eating junk food too. Greasy pizzas, chips, etc. They all make you feel bloated and just bad.
Flat Earth makes a veggie chip that actually doesn't taste gross at all. It's very good. I'd recommend trying those.
But of course, if you're at a healthy weight, or you're underweight, these tactics won't make you lose weight. They will improve your health, though.
And NEVER starve yourself! Starving yourself sends messages to your system that food is scarce. So the next time you eat, your body will try to store more fat, since it believes that you may not be eating again for a while.
Instead, just eat until you're satisfied. Not until you're stuffed. Don't be afraid to eat kind of often, if you're genuinely hungry. It's actually better for you to eat 5-7 SMALL meals a day, as opposed to the traditional 3 large ones. I personally could never eat 5 or 7 small meals, but you get the picture.
And of course, excercise can help.

Depends on how fast. If you're talking a week, I'd say you'd have to starve yourself, NOT that I'm recommending that. I think anorexic people are stupid.
Otherwise, you should eat healthy portions, vary your caloric intake over the course of the day so you keep your metabolism high, and do strength yoga plus some cardio excercise. You should lose weight and tone your muscles and maybe flatten your stomach in a couple weeks doing that.

First off...are you wanting to lose the 20lbs because your overweight? If so, you don't wan to lose the weight too fast....you'll have flabby skin...so you want to do cardio and weight training, alternate days. Just eat healthier, eat whole wheat carbs, cut out sugar and drink fat free skim milk. Whole milk has lots of fat.
