I love chicken , if you have boneless chicken breasts they take less time to cook at med temp & 10 minutes per side, no longer pink. Bone In takes longer depending on the size, 15- 20 min per side until juices run clear.

RE:
How long do you barbecue chicken breasts?
I am barbecuing chicken breasts for company this afternoon and always overcook it. I have the chicken marinating in Italien dressing in the fridge. How long should I cook it for so it is not dry but well cooked?

Cook time is determined by heat.
On average, it takes about 10 to 12 minutes for a chicken breast to cook on a grill.
If the fire is hot, turn the meat every 1 or 2 minutes.
If the fire has cooled a little, 4 or 5 minutes per turn is good.
Start applying sauce on the last 2 turns.
Don't reuse the marinade that the chicken was soaking in.

first get the grill very hot , then fold up two paper towels and dip in vegetable oil , using bbq tongs brush the grill with the oil. always season you chicken breast . I like garlic powder, course black pepper and paprika. Place chicken on the hot oiled grill and don't touch, close the lid if you have one. after about 7-8 minuets gently try to lift the breast if it sticks leave a few minuets longer once the chicken sears it should lift up without sticking . turn chicken over and repeat. Press the breast with the tongs it should be slightly soft , if it's very firm you may have over cooked it. it will continue to cook even after you remove from the grill. After it rests for about five minutes you can cut into one to see if it's done. it should be white and juicy if you see pink you should return it to the grill for a few minutes longer or place in the oven on 350 for about 6-7 minutes. Hope this helps , good grilling from BBQBLUES

if you are using boneless chicken, I do medium high heat on my weber grill and cook about 5 - 6 min per side, for total of 10 - 12 min or until juices run clear.

First you should pre-boil the chicken until it is done. Then cool it for about a hour or so. After that you can marinate for as long as you want. Then you only need to cook it on the old barbie until hot and sticky. This way you won't burn it.

Until they're done, goofy! Just kidding. After they've been on the grill for a few minutes, poke one with a tong or toothpick. If the juice that runs out is pink, they're not done yet. If its clear, they are. Good luck, and remember: don't EVER serve Coors light at a barbecue. Coors light has ruined more barbecues than ants, rain, kids, rap, and republicans.
