It broke off from Christian Science in the turn of the 20th century. Started by Charles Fillmore. It's based on Universal Truths as revealed by Jesus. This is not the only way to God. Teachings reveal that we are made in God's image so we all contain the spark of creation and can be the light of the world in the way of Jesus. The Bible is the textbook that is revealed in symbolic terms. Spiritual communion through prayer and meditation, symbolic babtism. Kingdom of God within can be accessed at any time through meditation. Affirming each person as they are inclusively without judgement or discrimination. Salvation through turning away from fear, anxiety, worry and doubts to thoughts of love harmony, joy and peace. Positive practical spirituality.

Who is the Head of your Church?

When the believer thinks of the church, he thinks of the New Testament church as seen in the Bible. The New Testament church is the one whose origin and teachings are based upon the BIBLE with JESUS is the HEAD. There is vast difference between most churches of today and the New Testament church. A major difference is seen as we give the BIBLICAL asnwer to the questions, "Who is the HEAD of the church?"

"For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body." - Eph 5:23 KJV

This is my LOCAL CHURCH - composed of SAVED PEOPLE. - "100% sure of HEAVEN not of our GOOD WORKS but FINISHED WORK OF OUR SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST ON THE CROSS, WHO SHED HIS BLOOD FOR US A SINNER."

Because WE BELIEVE AND ACCEPTED JESUS CHRIST AS OUR LORD AND SAVIOR. Then 100% we are all SURE of HEAVEN.

What I love about my church is, it is centered around Christ.
We praise the Lord with worship music, give testimonies, we go to different neighborhoods and spread the Gospel of Jesus. We have youth ministries. We have Sunday school, bible studies. We do a lot to help others in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. We PRAY for the lost and sick. We PRAY for everyone.

God Bless You.

Jesus told us that He is the Way and the Light...no one
gets to The Father except through Him....so there is no other
way than the Way!

No, but my sister has been with Unity for about 20 years. We talk a lot about our beliefs and we agree more than we disagree.

my parents just allowed me to go to a new church; one that is so much better than my old one.
my other church was baptist, and it didn't get to me at all and it wasn't inspiring and heart-tugging. and then i went w/ my friend to a non-denomonational church and it was the most interesting church i went to. i went to the youth group there and they 'kept me awake' the whole time w/ very cool God-inspiring games and worship. it was amazing. my mom went to the adult sermon at that church and they talked about speaking in tonques. she said that baptists' avoid that. and i didn't want to go to a church that avoided certain things, you know? this church left nothing out and thats what i love about it!
