Immigration policy will always be a tricky issue, with different people and groups having very different opinions. The conservative viewpoint recognizes the need to protect the borders for national security and economic reasons. You are correct, most supporters of this viewpoint would most likely not consider the fact that all white Americans have immigrant-ancestors. This historical perspective most likely does not factor into the conservative viewpoint.
Be careful talking about drug trafficking. Both sides of the argument are opposed to trafficking- most illegal immigrants enter the country with tourist visas and stay as residents: this means they go through customs.
While race may also play a large role, especially in citizen militias along the U.S.-Mexico border, I would like to believe that most policy-makers have a genuine desire to protect the U.S., although some possessing xenophobia (fear of foreigners) and an unfortunate desire to isolate our country.

I'll go along w/amnesty for the 20+ million illegal invaders, just as soon as myself & every other American can flagrantly disregard any & all laws we don't particularly like.
What this amnesty bill is, is a precursor to anarchy. And when anarchy is the norm your damn right there will be armed confrontation.
That's exactly why the next proposal we'll see out of the "elitist beltway" will be massive gun/gun owner registration. Closely followed by confiscation of said registered guns. It's happened in the UK, Austraila & Kalifornia. Soon to come to a gulag near you!
But, I have a solution that will stop the invaders from crossing our borders. It's cost effective, will get desired results & would immediately stop the invasion across our borders. 2 words, LAND MINES !!
We have thousands of anti personnel land mines in our inventory, alreadey bought & paid for by "We the people", the American taxpayers. After the first "immigrant" (invader) gets blown to kingdomcome, the next one will be very hesitant to follow. Problem solved!!
To the idiots that are good w/this amnesty bill, you are as much a danger to our Republic as the invaders. Only you are worse because, as our founders said, "our republic will become to strong for any foreign country to defeat us militarily, but being a republic, it can not survive treachery from within." This treachery/treason will be the death of the greatest experiment in self government this planet has ever seen.
You don't have a problem w/caucasians (don't you really mean CRACKERS?!) getting "paid back", don't forget, it was the white man who pledged their life, fortunes & sacred honor to bring about this great country you obviosly don't give a damn about, but would not leave.
Bottom line, the Constitution states, Art. 4, Sec. 4, ..."the federal government will protect the states from invasion", it dosen't specify "armed invasion, just invasion. If 20+ million illegals is not an invasion, what the hell would you call it?
So for the useful idiots out there, if you want these invaders to stay you will have to amend the Constitution. And by the way, GOOD LUCK SCHMUCK!! Because amending the Constitution takes it out of the hands of the sell outs in Washington & puts the power back where it belongs, in "We the people's" hands!

Well how far back do you want to go in looking up the history of settling the American continent? because if you go back to when the natives came, that was about 10000 years ago by most estimates, and if you look to where they came from, and where their ancestors came from, and their ancestors, you'll find that we all came from the same place, most likely in modern Ethiopia.
The importance of all this history of settlement bs and who has the retroactive right to claim foul play, which is what you're essentially saying the natives have over everyone else, is that we are all one race of humans, and we have been f u k ing eachother over since the first day. This is the USA because thats what the people in power want to call it. The world is only pc and pretty in your sheltered mind. Take your system of beliefs to Congo, or Uzbekistan, or the ghetto of Detroit, or Bangladesh or anywhere there isn't this sheltered view of how the world should be, and discover the real world.

I would think that illegal immigrants come here for a better life not to bring drugs. A small percentage of them comes here with bad intentions. How did you get the statistics that Caucasions oppose immigration reform? Bring evidence and facts to your question. And yes, everyone but native americans (who are not caucasians) are immigrants. This country is built on immigration. They would be hypocrites if they feel the way you say they do.

there are a lot of Hispanic, such as I, who opposes immigration reform. When I became an American, was the proudest day of my live. I am not Hispanic-American, just simply and proudly an American. I love this country and feel blessed to live here. In Peru, my birth country, the corruption keeps people poor with no hope for a better live, therefore I would never want the USA to become another Peru, or Mexico. When I came here I learned the language and embraced the culture as my own. What I see now are those from Mexico, they don't love our way, nor do they want to become American, nor learn our language, so I say to them, GO HOME. As for those who feel as I do, as say BIENVENIDO!!!

I don't think they are the "only" race that opposes, neither that race should be a ground for opinion. If your statistic were correct, I would guess because they include many Caucasians that think that being farther from their immigrant ancestors is somehow an entitlement.
However, if you were to rate the "seniority" of each ethnic origin present in US population you would find that this is not correct either.

I don not think it's only US WHITES that oppose immigration reform, I believe that all people (races) are tired of the free hand-outs that illegal immigrants are screaming for. We all came from other countries (yes, even US WHITES), But we came wanting and WORKING for a better life...we built America on blood, sweat and tears, we didn't ask for or demand welfare. We learned the language, we paid our dues. America is so over crowded now with illegal immigrants, our welfare system is being drained, our health system is being drained, our schools are full of kids that don't even speak English, our land is being turned into a dump...there is trash everywhere! And I am not just talking about the litter on the ground!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I would give you an answer that would play into your race baiting question.
Instead, I will give you an answer that probably is too intellectual for you to comprehend.
The fact is, is that it is not only whites who oppose this immigration bill. Many millions of actual LEGAL immigrants oppose this bill. Passing this bill would be a slap in the face to many LEGAL immigrants, who came here not just to pick lettuce or oranges. Many LEGAL immigrants came here to pursue a higher education. Many came here to escape tyranny, political and religious persecution. Still others, who came here only for economic opportunity, came here LEGALLY and in accordance with our laws. Many spent years learning our language, customs and history. They also took an oath of allegiance to our country. Those are the people we want here. Not criminals who cross our borders ILLEGALLY, march in our streets demanding rights which they are not entitled to. Push their drugs on our children, drive our wages down, and call us racist, Indian killers !!!!!
Ted Kennedy invited the American Civil Liberties Union,
the National Immigration Law Center, the National Council
of La Raza, the Service Employees International Union,
the Chamber of Commerce and the Essential Worker
Immigration Coalition to help him craft his
comprehensive immigration-reform bill.
Completely ignored in this process are American citizens!
I am outraged, that any attempt to draft a legitimate
immigration bill that would satisfy the American people
has been stolen away by "open-border" lobbyists!
That's why I've added my name to this important
Grassfire.org petition, and why I'm inviting you to do the
same--before Ted Kennedy and his cohorts ram an amnesty
bill down our throats that will jeopardize our national security.

So you don't agree with illegal immigration but still want it to happen?????
Whites are not the only ones who oppose the immigration reform and whites are definitely not the only ones who oppose illegal immigration.
