When you have been thinking about someone for a long time, and at first you know what they look like, but then when you keep thinking about them you forget exactly what they look like, even though you see them everyday. Why does this happen?

Maybe because we like them... How about fall in love? I like the guy that I see him everyday. Monday to Friday at school and Saturday and Sunday at other class. When I look him, he always smile. Laughing with his friend. I not tell him what I feel because I afraid he doesn't like me.. So I just look him from other side. Is this the real answer? I don't know.. but I always thinking about him although my friend said that he's not a kind guy.. but I don't believe what my friend said and I know he's good guy exactly...

Try thinking of exactly what everyone you know that you see everyday. How many of them can you picture EXACTLY what they look like? It has nothing to do with your feelings about this person. The mind is simply not that perfect. In any case, it is easier when you have a photograph of someone. It is easier to remember what someone looked like in a photo than what they look like in real life.

I don't have a real scientific answer for this but I can confirm you're not alone! It happens to me all the time! I take it the person you're thinking about is someone you like right? I guess because of your feelings for them, you focus so much on what it feels like to be around them, the smart/funny things they have said, and any possible fantasies you may have, that these things take priority in your mind over what they look like... Anyone else have a better suggestion?

cuz the thing that made U think about them isn't what they look like insead it's what they said which your mind liked or disliked and couldn't let go. It's a mind game!!!

no idea... maybe because you are thinking about them too hard/too much so your mind starts questioning itself about details, so then your mind just forgets... sound slightly logical? lol... hope that helps!
