find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I hated hearing this the 1st time prego, but by the 2nd I realized it was true. It takes 9 months to put it on so at least that long to take it off. For your height (I am the same height) healthy range is 102-136.
The treadmill is great and you should start seeing results in a few weeks. Just remember that you can do all the exercise in the world but you need to eat healthy. No fast food, or junk processed food, stick w/fruits and veggies and by the time your baby is 9 months you will be back into the healthy range!
good luck

Well, to explain your first phenomina, you lose weight through sweat when you sleep, so you actually are losing water weight, not fat.

Also, using artificial sweetener instead of sugar won't magically help you lose weight unless you eat a massive amount of sugar in a day, the only effect it will have will be possibly influencing your breast milk, possibly endangering your baby.

You won't lose weight simply by running for ten minutes and then walking for twenty, you need sustained, strenuous cardio vascular activity and most likely a complete overhaul in your diet. Try a less jarring activity like swimming or weight lifting it it is available to you, but again, the key is to have a sustained work out, not a 300 cal, 20 minute work out.

I think that you should ask your doctor or clinic for advice on diet and exercise for nursing moms. I don't know about the amount of calories that you need while you are breastfeeding and how strenuous exercise will effect that.
I know you can do it, just not how. :(
Good luck. :)
