Me and my BF are going to be getting two puppies when we move into our house near the end of July and need to think of some cool names for our new pups.

We definately want to name the pair after a double act

ie: Laurel & Hardy .... Salt and Pepper...

this sort of thing...... All suggestions welcome. :)

Thanks Peeps! ^_^

It's a good idea gettiung the two Dogs at seperate intervals. We are actually getting them 3 months apart already. Not the 8 you suggested. One is to be a cocker spaniel and the second dog is undecided - Possibly a Jack Russell.

Sonny and Cher

I'd like to add my 2 cents worth on the 2nd dog issue. I just got a 2nd dog (1 1/2 yr old); my older dog is 2 1/2 yrs. so I have recent experience. The 2nd dog came trained, so that wasn't an issue for me, but I can't imagine having two puppies close together - one is hard enough! While my 2 dogs are very compatible and good dogs, it is still easier to have just ONE dog. It's easier to take them places, find a sitter when needed, and cost less to feed, vet bills, collars/leashes, groomer fees, etc. It's easier to take one outside to go to the bathroom, etc. esp when we're camping in our RV! I adopted my 2nd dog from a family who didn't have time for him 3 mos ago, and sometimes I wonder if I did the right thing. I know for HIM, it was best to find him a new home. After all that, I think it is a good idea to have a 2nd dog, if one dog will be left home alone all day. In my case, I'm home with my dog/s, so they don't get lonely. If you decide to get a 2nd dog, I agree to wait at least 8 mos. I think you might find that one dog will suit you fine. Good Luck!

I have no suggestions but I think you will probably end up calling them... Dam, we should have only gotten ONE..
Raising 2 puppies at the same time can be very challenging. It's cute and fun for a couple of weeks then when they continue to wrestle with each other ALL DAY LONG and pay more attention to each other then they do you and are difficult to train... you might wish you were only picking ONE name.
I always suggest for people who want 2 dogs to get them 8 or more months apart. This enables you to bond with and prperly train one at a time and developes a better relationship between you and your dogs. Good Luck!
