You actually have two questions here. A good beer for beginners would be a smoother beer like Newcastle or Rahr's Ugly Pug.
If you're looking for something that tastes like juice or a soft drink, it's probably not a beer, but a malt beverage. Try Two Dogs Lemon Brew, or any of the pre-mixed beverages that are sold at convenience stores(Jack Daniels Lynchburg Lemonade, for example.)

Good question.
Don't start with light beer. They have a more bitter aftertaste than their full bodied cousins.
Miller Highlife has very little "Bite".
I can hear everyone laughing now...but read my profile. I've sold a lot of beer. Pabst Blue Ribbon is milky smooth compared to Budweiser, which is the world's best selling beer because lots of people like the bite. Coors is also very smooth.
You will learn your favorite beer after cutting the grass on a 100 degree day. It's the one closest at hand.
If you develop a taste for it, there are hundreds of delightful stops along the boulevard of beer.
In fact, try Boulevard Beer from Kansas City. Their unfiltered wheat is yummy.

I began my drinking career with Smirnoff Ice(this isnt beer at all),I use to drink bottles and bottles of that stuff. I havent touched the stuff in many years as my taste has evolved.
Beer is something that grows on you until you either love it or hate it.
