The other day I found porn downloaded on my dad's videos in the computer. He goes into the computer room often with the door shut. I told my sister and we are trying to decide if we should confront him or just let it be. Any ideas?

I just wanted to say i wasnt snooping i was attaching something to an email and i was browsing and it went right to "My Videos" and i saw it so i wasnt snooping u think i have nothing better to do than snoop through the FAMILY computer....make sure you have the info right

As creepy as it sounds Most men who can access a computer have porn on it. It can become an addiction though.
If it's just once in a while don't worry about it.
If he seems obsessed with it it is an addiction just like drugs or food and he needs help.
Actually, I'd let your mom deal with this one. Make sure you're out of the way....

In my opinion which is only my opinion because I too do not know it all: You are not dirty. If your Dad chooses to be "dirty" that does not make you dirty. You are naughty if you spied, and yes, I too have been so naughty. I too have cheated much with my eyes and only my eyes. Your Dad may have or may be doing the same. Calling him on it may make him defensive and cause him to lose his temper which may ruin many days for you, your mother, him, and others. Out of resentment he may increase his viewing of porn, in front of both of you. I would ignore his viewing of porn and instead give him pleasing behavior, also known as positive reinforcement, such as by saying, "Thank you, Dad" as you hug and kiss him when he performs desirable behavior and do the same for your mother including when she does this for your Dad. Parents are like killer whales in that you can not coerce them into doing anything but they all can be influence with positive reinforcement. Positive reinforcement is your best hope for getting your way in the long run. Ever see gals shoulder riding their guys for an hour or two at an outdoor music concert. The guys are not forced. The guys are charmed into this with positive reinforcement. Watch it on youtube. You may want to read DON'T SHOOT THE DOG by Karen Pryor which can help you much to get your way with many creatures with positive reinforcement. This may help your mother too. And your Dad.

Your father is an adult and its his computer. How disrespectful of you to snoop in his things. How dare you tell your sister, its none of her business either. I think the both of you should be ashamed, and need to back off. What your father does is his business and he does not need your permission. Get your own computer.

Leave him be! about 90% of men look at porn. The other 10% are blind, or otherwise unable to masturbate to it (thumbless?).
Its his computer, and he keeps it away from you so you DONT see it. Dont go snooping in there!
