How old are you? And why should your dad give you $$ just because you're his son? Are you old enough to get a parttime job or do some chores around the house or yard to actually EARN some money? All kids and teens need spending money but it is not your parents' responsibility to give it to you just because... how about asking what you can do to earn it? This will be a positive starting point for the rest of your life!

I think your dad is a very nice and smart man who would probably give you the money just because you are his son, however your dad might be really broke and just doesn't have the money to give you. All dad's would love to give their son money just for the heck of it because they love them and like to do stuff for them. It just doesn't happen they way dad's would like it to happen, that's all.

Probably not just because you're his son.

If you put up a good argument, you might be able to negotiate spending money next time you go to the mall or for some similar reason.

You could also negotiate an allowance.

i think you need to do something to show you should get the money because he will say no if you just ask him without show you did something to earn it.
