If the pc came with a sound card then you probably just need to install the drivers for it. Could be on a cd or a floppy or you may need to find out the make/model and download them from the manufacturer.

If you just installed Windows, you probably need to install the 4 in 1 driver set for your motherboard. They will be on the disk that came with the board.
