first of all you are not old enough to get a tattoo and any place that would be willing to tattoo you scares me. why? because if they have such disregard for the law then what makes you think they care about using new needles and sterilizing their equipment?
second of all price should never be a factor in getting a tattoo because it is something that you will have to live with for the rest of your life.
and your description is vague at best "a small tattoo of the nighmare before christmas" the words "nightmare before christmas"? or a picture from the movie? what is small to you one inch by one inch? three inches by three inches? five inches by five inches?
my honest and sincere advice is for you to wait until you are older and wiser. start saving your money now and by that time you will be able to get whatever you want by whomever you want. there are so many tattoo artists who's work i admire and i wish i could afford to travel to them and get worked on.

At 14 you cant get any tattoos anyway. You really have to ask the tattoo artist who is doing the work.I have several small tattoos that are about 3" in diameter and I had to pay a flat rate of $40-50 plus tip.
you say nightmare before christmas...thats a movie what exactly are you getting?Jacks head?Oogie Boogie?Size detail color and location make a big difference

"he asked like there was only one tattoo shop on the planet".... seriously dude, it will change depending on where you go, what you want the sleeve to look like (i know you said nightmare before christmas but how detailed? of what ? full sleeve or half? and so on), color or black and white, shop minimums, how big of an ego the artist has (i have met horrible tattoo artists who charge way too much for shitty work), and any other number of things. the best idea would be for you to start finding tattoo places in your area, going in with a picture of your desgin, or pictures of what you want IN your design, and letting them give you a quote

hmm what happened to being 14 and worring about your hair and your make up? you do not need to be thinking about a tattoo at your age. but when you do get old enough then consider it. but by the time you are 23 the cost of that tattoo will be more then it is today!

Number one: most tattoo artists (the good ones, anyway) won't do a tattoo on a 14l year old, even with parental consent. Number two: it depends on exactly how big you're talking, what color, and exactly how detailed the design you're wanting is. Good tattoos aren't cheap and cheap tattoos aren't usually very good.

Lol, if you get it done legally, it will probably around 50 to 60 bucks, and if you get it done illegally, it will be a little less, probably around 35-50.
