When you die and if you are buried in the ground your body decomposes and helps towards the growth of everything including us humans. What this really means is that there is life after death as residue form your body goes into the food that living humans will eat. Therefore you will become a part of somebody or something else but you will not know it in the sense of human intelligence.

I don't believe in any religion, but I do believe in God. I think *something* will happen, but I really have no idea what.

The thing I probably hope for the most (because it's the easiest to imagine) is the communion amongst all our souls between God and each other. We would not be hurting each other, because we would understand, and it would be an enlightening experience.

It is not necessary to believe in any form of organized religion. You may adopt your own philosophy of life, doing good works, hurting no one, always doing your best , etc... Whatever happens next (after you die) is then irrelevant: indeed, you "win" either way: If there is a God, how can He send you to hell for having done good? And if there is no God, then it dosn't matter, does it? You still led a decent life, should be proud of what you did and be in fear of nothing.

Religion is man made, as is the bible and all religious doctrine and scripture.
I am a deist and don't need a Religion to believe in God!
God is not an institution only mankind made him one...
God is infinite, the Alpha and the Omega, he is not confined to what mankind teaches or believes in. God is everywhere and in everything, you only have to see mother nature to believe that!
I believe I will pass from this world to the next as the soul is what we really are, we simply keep ourselves safe in this world through flesh and blood. Life is a means to contribute to Gods great earth, to live and enjoy it, to satisfy him in our means of giving, love and understanding.

To be a part of each other as he wants us all to be, to live in peace and praise him for the gift of life he has bestowed upon us...
To learn and pass our wisdom on to the young and the generations to come.
God loves us all unconditionally, its a Question of if we love him in return or walk away, unfortunately man kind is not very much in touch with God or his creation...

The two best quotes I've heard elsewhere on this:

"Life's tough. Then you die. Then they throw dirt on your face. Then the worms eat you. Be grateful it happens in that order." (unsure of source)

"When I die, I won't come to an end, the universe will . . . from my perspective." (Ayn Rand)

Personally, I believe we are gathered into the folds of our ancestry----and that what is important is not "where" we go, but what we leave behind: a good name.

Nothing happens.

You just die in the same way that a tree, a bird or a fish dies.

Your body disintegrates into dust.

End of Story!

The same thing that happens to every other biological thing on the planet..... our skin and organs rot and all that is left is the skeleton and teeth

what makes us different from every other species??? or do we believe that there is a animal and plant after life or heaven ? I don't think so as nice as it sounds

Good luck xxx

Just pick up a book on the decaying process. That should explain it in the proper terms. You generally rot.

You will need to wait for someone to come back from the dead and tell you the answer. You might then decide not to believe the person.Safe to believe that death is final. To all living beings anyway.
