Well, I've been friends with this girl since she switched over to my gradeschool in 7th grade, and we just started high school together at the same place. I've had this big crush on her ever since we first met and I don't know how to tell her. If I come out and say it she might get freaked out and never talk to me again, and if I don't say anything there's this guy that she has a chance of dating, and they'll be together all through high school... What should I do?

first of all, is there any indication that she likes you? Do you guys flirt, does she touch you when you talk, things like that? If so, then I would feel her out and see where she is on dating people; has she before? Is she ready now?

The only thing that is a red flag for me, is that you guys have been just friends for 2 years, if she liked you, you would know it by now, but don't take that as the final word, she may be just as nervous about this as you are.

You also have to think about whether or not you are willing to ruin your friendship with her. Potentially, if you tell her you like her and she doesn't like you back, it could ruin everything.

In the end, after all the "feeling out" just sit her down and tell her how you feel, girls appreciate honesty, and if she doesn't like you, you gotta take it as that and just let it go. Otherwise you will lose her. But if she does like you WOOHOO!

Speak up. I liked my boyfriend for a year and a half before I asked him out, and then it turned out that he had liked me all along, too, but both of us were just too shy to say anything, so anything's possible, really. Plus, if she really is your friend, she should be considerate and caring enough not to get freaked out even if she doesn't want to date you. Just take a chance. Start with something like "I hope this doesn't freak you out, and I hope you understand where I'm coming from. I really like you, and I'd really like for our relationship to develop into more than just friends." Just make sure you don't sound completely nervous, try to work up confidence about it. Most girls like confidence in a guy (as long as it's not egotistical confidence). I hope it works out for you, good luck.

If she is your friend she will still be your friend if you tell her you really like her. A good friend is worth more than anything. She may be waiting for you to say something. If she is not interested in dating you, just good friends will be just fine at you age. Enjoy being a kid and have fun. Relationships are great but we need to find out who we are first.

ok......here's the truth......if you have known her for this long she knows you have a crush on her........SHE Knows.....
And if she really liked you in the way you like her.....something would have happened by now........are ya feeling me......okay buy her letting you know she is interested in another guy, she is telling you you are not the one!.........Now there is an outside chance.....and I mean and outside chance that she might be trying to make you jealous and grow a set of nuts and tell her how you feel........but I think this reason is thin at best.......I'd go with move on ....she wants you as a friend not a boyfriend....most girls will make it obvious if they have a crush on you because if they wait for us guys to make the first move ,they have to wait till we ask Yahoo Answers what to do!!!!!! huh....pretty good huh.....that left a mark! next question!

You're in high school now. Man up and tell her straight up how you've had a crush on her and if she does freak out then it will let you know that it's time to move on. Its' creepy to keep following a girl around like a love sick puppy. Girls don't even like that. Seriously, Man Up, Dude!!!

when ever you 2 talk let her know that you like her and there are more feelings for her than that . You also could write her a letter telling her this . Sometimes writing it down helps one say what they really want to .

Have you showed that you like her through your actions? if you did so, TELL HER BEFORE THAT GUY GETS HER...

just tell her that you guys have known each other for a long time, and that you feel you two can go a step further from being JUST FRIENDS. i'm sure she wont flip....

Take the risk. Tell her what you feel. All your life you'll be taking risks, get in the habbit of standing up for your beliefs and feelings. I hope she likes you back.

you should stick with her..don't tell her right away..try to show some motives first..then if you feel like she already knows the truth, then tell her in a right place and moment..

TELL HER. If you don't, she'll never know how you feel. If she never talks to you again, she's not your friend anyway.
