I was having a talk with a few of my friends. One of them is a very devout hindu and he was talking to us that people in the mandhirs claim that hindu God/Goddesses are in their body. Me and my other friends didn't agree with this as all of us have different views. however it did make me think. i heard of evil spirits entering the body, so that they can get moksha(salvation). however my friend was claiming that these apparently the spirits of the hindu Gods/Goddesses which were in some people all claimed to have some special power. now i don't know whether my friend just got fooled by some people who can act really crazy or is it for real? What do you all think? anyone have any experiences?

I see, so basically those people that claim these supernatural things are frauds! by the way i do not believe in the fact that God/goddesses come into us then what would mean we should go round dancing like mad does it? shouldnt we be preaching the truth? i have only believed in evil spirits entering bodies to get salvation.
also SSRVJ- can you translate the sanksrit to english please?!

This is related to psychology.
Some oppressed people take advantage of this belief to vent their feelings which normally they are afraid to reveal. But mostly these are harmless outbursts..

No. The demigods, they control the different senses(function)of the body, but not like are in the body, possessing, or enter to the body. And ultimately, God is the controller of us and our body and the demigods are humble servitors of the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
In Bhagavad gita is explained that just Vishnu or Krishna can give moksa, no the demigods, the demigods are also mortal beings, but Krishna is the Supreme immortal being.
The demigods have special powers, called mystic powers, and humans can also develop this mystic powers also, after so many years of austerities.

Its not about God/Godesses entering into the body. Its just that a person feels their prescence around. God has the powers that no human can accept him/her in his/her body but through them they can see various things/events happening and predict future for people who truly believe in them. Things said by them are mostly true. Denying the fact that this cannot happen will be wrong.

If you are a good human being and never harm others you too can feel the prescence of God around you and can feel the future in front of your eyes through intuition.

The concept God /godess entering human body every now and then-is all fraud and humbug -unadultrated lie. There are a lot of cheats among Hindus also, as in other religions.God takes the human form only once in 43,00,000 years--"Yuge-yuge",when there is chaos, attrocity and rascals rule the roost in the Society.--'Yadhaa,Yadhaa hi Dharmasya Glaanir Bhavathi Bhaaratha---Abdyut Thaananm Adharmasya--Aham Srjaami"

Hinduism mostly depicts every thing pictorially and in stories. In fact Hindus see God every where, and so they avoid hurting ,plants, animals, air, water ,earth etc.
They love nature. If you ask me now how far it is true,I can only answer that it is all true but for our poluting the earth and ruining the
environment. It is true but for our materialistic thinking and dominating other human races.Man should go back to nature to rejuvenate this earth.

I don't think any God/Goddesses need to enter any human being body to communicate with us. They would just to come again to make their part but being them themselves with all their big powers.
But bad spirits can enter weak human being bodies to disturb them and others ones that believe and give them a place.

I suppose this Hindu belief about their deities is just like Christian belief in the Holy Spirit Choosing a person.

Pure fantasy. May be multiple personality disorder. But there are plenty of unexplained phenomenon happening here and there called supernatural.
Supernatural is hard to experience but can be easily tuned into supersitious.
Be strong dont believe anything blindly. Experience them by methods unfolded by the Spiritual masters rather to ponder over petty arguments.
