I really like one of my friends. And well.. he "likes" me too. but I have a feeling he's full of it.
Here's why.. he doesn't get close to me or anything around other people. when his friends are there I feel like he acts as if he doesn't even know me. and then I left him this comment on myspace that said if you ever need anything i'll be here. and then he deleted it. i was like wtf? and i'm not on his top. so i'm guessing he's just playing a roll to get in my pants but not trying to hard.
what do you think?

I think he's trying to get in my pants because when we do hang out he begs to have sex. even though he swears he doesn't F**K and dump it's kinda hard to believe him. I said if he liked me enough he could wait. so idk.

Depending on your ages if you are teenagers which is what I suspect and if he likes you as you say, then this is a pretty normal thing for a young guy to do.
They have a image to keep up with especially with his mates, so I really wouldn't spend to much time worrying about it.
as for getting into your pants well all I can say is think with your head and not your heart if the time should come.
Hope this helps

Don't waste your time on this looser. You're smarter than that, and any guy should be lucky to get to call you his "girlfriend". Likewise, any lucky guy who is really proud and happy to call you his girlfriend would proudly say that to other people including peers. But he acts differently around other people? Why so different? Obviously he does not really want you as a girlfriend if he treats you differently in public.
Get rid of him. You're smart to notice this, and you deserve much better.

He might just be being nice to you to put on a front. Don't worry about it, and forget about him. There's other fish in the sea. The catch is, don't go looking for someone, because the right one will trip you while you're not looking!

If he's male ~ over the age of 13 ~ he's wanting a roll in the hay. No mystery there.

Find someone else. If he really cared about you, he would show he liked you no matter who was around. If he acts like he likes you when your alone, but ignores you in front of his friends, then his intentions aren't any good.

My Goodness, Hil. Don't flatter yourself so much. He don't even know you're alive unless you're the only other person there..... So for you to assume he wants into your pants is a far stretch for me. Good Luck

Well depending on his age! If he is a younger than guys just like to "play it cool" around their buddies, I would find someone who was not embarrassed to show affection in public if that is what you like. Don't be someone if they are not what you want...

By your description I would say, in the long term, he would not fit into your life or pants anyway.
