morning hours when I start rolling from one side to the other, then the pain starts within about 1 minute and becomes unbearable until I turn to the other side. Then I keep turning until I get up, then pains go away. I have tried extra calcium, magnesium, pottasium, drinking more water, vitamines, etc, but none seems to make significant difference. Any other suggestions?

have you tried sleeping on your back? This is the less strenuous position for your muscles during the long hours of sleep. You can place a cushion under your knees to reduce stress in the back. Your muscles are being pressured by the weight of your body and that is why they are waking you up to tell you, move.

I get this pain when I sleep on the same side most of the night. I believe it is the lack of blood to the area, Also when I get up most of the pain goes away except for my shoulder which takes two to three hours.
