I had a federal tax lien placed on me over 20 years ago. Is it still valid? where can I get information on this?
There is a tax lien filed on me in Mercer County N.J. I have never been in that county How do I get info on this?

If you owed the IRS money, and have not paid it, you still owe the money. This is true regardless of the tax lien. There is no such thing as a lien on a PERSON. ALL liens are on property of some sort. Did you own any real estate in Mercer County NJ? The lien may have been placed on that property.

County tax liens are not federal tax liens. Call Mercer County, NJ and look at the tax records and what not. See what they are talking about. If you want info on how to invest with tax liens, how to fulfill it and all that jazz, see the book below.
