i have the stock bose system in a 96 maxima and when i put the cassette adapter in for my ipod, (see details)?

it says tape error after playing for about 5 minutes. anyone know whats wrong?

Because your adapter is not allowing the tape reels to turn. There are better adapters that have two capstans that turn like a real cassette.
