Lucifer's sin of pride and open rebellion against God was ultimately the only sin where there was no possibility of forgiveness or redemption. Lucifer (now Satan) and the other fallen angels were held to a higher standard than men, because they were spirit beings like God, and had at one time seen the full face of God as He really is.

That is why Satan and his minions reside as permanent residents of Hell, a place created specifically for them. A place where God really doesn't want any human to go.

The holy spirit is the spirit of truth and testifies to the world that Jesus is the Son of God and the only one whom eternal life can be found. The unforgiveable sin is blaspheming the holy spirit ie calling it a liar, and by consequence saying that Jesus isn't God.
