my child was born in a pvt nursing home off a caesarian operation in which my wife was under general anaesthesia and hence was not conscious. we have come to know through some sources that there may hav been some foul play on the part of the hospital in the same in that my child could have been exchanged , but i cannot go and question the nursing home or take them to court before i have some solid proof , hence i need to get the DNA test done to confirm it .

DNA tests are very expensive. At lease where I live. Sometimes in excess of 1,500$, which is why people don't do it too often, unless ordered to by the court. I would very much agree to have it done. However, would that change anything for you? Would you really want to give the baby, you have known, away? And what if the babies were switched, but they can't find where yours was taken? Would you be able to handle all that?

what makes you think the child is not yours?
is the information given coming from a reliable source.
go get a DNA test done is cost about 500-1500 depending on where you live and takes 3days-several weeks depending on the place you get it done.
It is extremely rear for a child to become exchanged with another this day in age.
how many children where born that night?
and who was in the room when the child was born.
and why was she under general anesthesia for a c-section? that's odd. did anyone you trust see the baby come out? did it have hair? was it a boy?girl? did you see the baby be born now it looks different , because sometimes they look a little different anyway after a few hours.

That sounds like a potential lawsuit. It is easy to take blood samples. A doctor will provide you the address of paternity DNA testing.
Seek a lawyers advice as well.
If she was under general anaesthesia, what about the others with her? Where were you. or relatives.

if you get DNA done it will say if you and your wife are the biological parents of the child...

In many countries you can order these over the net (search online for home dna)...

Then I would consult legal advice if you aren't the biological parents now before you get too attached to the child.

Due to the amount of legal action over such accidents (baby swapping) there are new technologies used to reduce the chances of babies being changed.
